I think the Thicc layer of symbiote that appears before the actual suit reveal is so that the game can transition between any variation of suit designs without needing to have unique animations for every symbiote suit

Miles doing the griddy is the type of background gag I live for

It's funny to think how much the 90's Spider-Man Animated Series has influenced future adaptations of Spider-Man by having the black suit affect Peter's behaviour in a negative way or "corrupting" him unlike in the comics where it only used his body when he was asleep and yet almost all future animated adaptations, games and even movies have used that cocept.

My man, you predicted a good chunk of this game...

I hope that the black suit becomes more goopy the longer Peter wears it, eventually looking close to venom.

the parrying mechanic is definitely gonna play a huge role in the inevitable venom boss fight, since venom doesn’t trigger spider-sense

I really like how parts of the black suit almost looks like the dermal armor of a horn-beetle or a scarab. It feels a little more bug-like, more predatory. I personally think that’s really cool.

Kraven hunting the Lizard is obviously a misdirect. I think he’s using Doctor Connors as a distraction while he breaks into the raft to interrogate Kingpin. Why Kingpin, you ask? Because the hunter is KRAVEN a McRib, and that’s his main character motivation in the story. Also congrats Olivia!

This is gonna be a tough year for Miles.

Kraven is such a great costume. It’s faithful to the comics, but modernized.

I loved the part at the end where you can see him doubt if he should go save the people from the helicopter or go chase the lizard. It shows that he still cares about people but is close to just going his own selfish way. Great game already.

Something else the showcase implies is Miles might be the one to bring Peter back into the light and free him from the Symbiote, which really excites me. The last game gave Miles really good character growth in my opinion and his relationship with Peter is a really special friendship and mutual respect for one another. If anyone is gonna convince Peter to get rid of the suit, I'm more than happy for it to be Miles

I've always speculated that the iron spider legs we see in the first trailer are going to be the replacements for the black suit powers when we inevitably lose the black suit, that definitely seems like the angle they're taking

A few notes: • It's likely that the parry will be activated by double tapping L1. This way it doesn't occupy any of the face buttons and doesn't need a cooldown. • We only see Miles use his new blue bio-electric abilities in this demo, which don't take up any of his Venom/Focus meter. However, the meter is still colored yellow and has Venom-like animations, which suggests that his standard yellow Venom abilities will still use that meter. • Finishers now once again use the Focus/Venom meter, instead of being banked once you hit certain combo benchmarks. • It's been confirmed in a few places that you'll be able to switch from Peter to Miles at the press of a button (implying it'll be something like D-Pad right)

I love the black suit design I’m not usually a fan of the goop but this does it well and if Peter and miles do fight I would rather play as Peter I think that’s a lot more impactful Peter beats up miles and then realizes what he’s done

I'm 10000% sure the fuzzy thing where the suit fully wraps around him before showing the suit underneath is just the transition animation and it reveals whatever venom suit you pick, or if they really want to a venomized version of the suit you're wearing

The black suit always seemed like a metaphor for drugs, so Peter getting it right after May’s death would be perfect timing. He should push everyone away and then have to deal with the ramifications of his actions. The suit just enhanced his anger, it doesn’t create it
