Winter is officially over now as we fully head into spring, the last of the snow is melting off, and the days are getting warm. This original song, showcasing the various aspects of the start of spring, is a fun introduction to the season. I inject a little humor into it while also giving educational information, sharing facts about springtime. This composition is a bit longer than what some are used to. While this original piece I composed is longer than what I've shared as of late, I used to create original songs that were over a half hour long back then all the time. It you're like "damn, that's long", remember I made a nine-hour long baseball song once. Now THAT is "holy shit" worthy. This is, despite its length, actually a very typical spring song for me. It features a lot of elements of the early spring sound, and at the end is a reminder that winter does like to sneak back in for a few minutes. This is also a sort of Easter song, even though I haven't made a true Easter song in a very long time. I really should get my ass in gear and get back to making true Easter compositions for the holiday! That said, this is also something special in that it's the first of my post-dry period songs I've posted. The others you've seen are a mix of my older songs and the ones from the end of last year. This is the first original to really herald in the new era of music for me. It's not the first of those songs (I actually started making really surreal and dark, hellish songs for awhile), but it is the first one I'm sharing and the first soundscape that I made in this new musical era of mine. It's perfect because spring represents the dawning of a new era!
Much like my real life struggles, it takes a lot of enduring a long, cold, dreary existence to come out on the other end. Three years ago and change, when the shit hit the fan on March 8, 2021 was when my mother passed away. For years, I was feeling shitty and struggling to get back into creating music again. It felt weird, like it wasn't present day me but past me. But in mid-January of this year, that weird feeling went away, so now I create my new songs regularly again. It feels good to be back to creating compositions!

The creative drought after my mother passed away is over now and I no longer feel weird when I sit down to create. While not the first recorded song of this new era, this is the perfect way to introduce my new era of the mid-2020s, so it's kinda special to me in that way.
