  • Hello Juvy, I am 72, only a few years to 80. we will not get old if we keep learning, and you are. Please remember there is no hurry at all, learning one thing at a time and keep practicing it until you are very familiar before moving on. Just the first movement and the breathing method would bring great benefits. Of course no one can do better than our best. Take care, see u one day!
  • thanks we thought Rani Hughes who is a tai chi for health teacher and has a gentle voice would suit this program perfectly.

Hello, Dr. Paul Lam. Thank you very much. I love VERYVERY much to learn. It's very easy to watch but to memorize all the cartons and stages, very hard for me t retain in my brain. Maybe it's because I am very old already. Almost 80 Yr old. So my coordination cannot catch up with you? But I am trying my best. Thank you so much You explained it very slowly and softly. I like it very much. XXXX greatly appreciated.

I took your Sun tai chi for arthritis in 2 different cities. Both instructors were certified, with 6 years of your instructions each. When I asked the 1st one the martial applications of each move, she had no idea. Since I had Yang tai chi and kung fu as a background, she and the class asked me to explain what I thought the moves intent. I explained only 1 use of each move, but perhaps not in the context of Sun tai chi. They really enjoyed understanding the intent of each move. The 2nd instructor told me that she was only interested in the health aspect, and did not want to learn any martial aspect. Most tai chi classes don't practice the application, but explain it, so that our understanding would be more complete. We could better visualize the intent of the moves.
