Thank You very much for sharing this Dr Lam I am very grateful. I have lost my health through developing depression from being bullied continually in my work life. And put on lots of weight. I am a father and husband and still work hard in my job through my job. I have only seen my wife and children for 6 weeks this year. I have many years ago studied your chen style course and practiced this daily for a few years, but i let this world overtake me and i stopped practicing. I hope that buy starting at the beginning again I will develop strength and flexibility in my body. I find it hard to keep my elbows in as I have 2 torn rotator cuffs and cannot afford to have the surgery. can you please give me any tips on how to relax my shoulders so my elbows will hang again. Even though I have never met you in person you are truly a big blessing to all those who listen to your lessons. One day I may be fortunate enough to learn from you personally for a few months. Just so i can improve my mental and physical health buy learning to generate and circulate my chi purely for regaining my health so i can enjoy my life with my children and wife. Kindest regards, your friend in chi Grant

  • G C sorry to hear about your injury and not able to spend time with your family. Hope things will work out better, I am glad you working to improve your health. I am sorry I cannot give you advice on how to work best with your shoulder because I don't know your situation it is not possible to give good advice. Please check with your health professional, and work very well within your comfort zone. You would note in some of my lessons I teach how to use visualization to improve your health and techniques. Good luck! Hope to meet with you one day.

For someone [ me ] finishing the Tia Chi for Arthritis course, would you go with Tia Chi for Energy or the Tia Chi 24 forms? I'm thinking the 24 forms would you please explain your reason.

Punching is in every kind of tai chi, but the point is that we never make contact, and we never talk about punching anyone. Perhaps you should study the entire DVD and then you would realise his focus is health, not violence.
