  • David Scott is truly a modest decent man, I met him many years ago several times in London, the first couple of times had no idea what he had achieved, one day watching UK TV he was being interviewed about something that had happened, couldn't believe my eyes or my ears OMG thats David, really ticked him off the next time I saw him I can tell you. So so modest decent funny man as they all seem to be, love their banter way to go Guys.
  • Great celebration! Awesome guys that inspired me to study Astronautics, Astronomy and Aerospace Engineering. All of them!! Thank you!!!

I just watched this celebration of Apollo 15 and it moved me in so many ways.  The Apollo program is without doubt, Man's greatest scientific and engineering accomplishment.  I was just shy of 5 years old when Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon so my personal memories are of Apollo 15 through 17.  It was just so terrific to watch this short film and hear directly from those involved. A terrific watch; thanks guys; and Go Apollo!
  • Absolute heroes of my childhood! I drove my toy rover over the moon probably as much as they did in training!

Something about hearing Charlie Duke always brings a smile to my face. That twang was a great charm
  • I love Charlie! so detailed in his memories of Apollo 11 & 15. "Roger Twank". it looked like he was about to pass out! a real gentleman & a sweetie pie. Come back to Australia please! We love you..

2020, watching these men and their accomplishments. It's an honor
  • I worked at Orroral Valley here in Australia and we used to download data from one of the ALSEP installations on the lunar surface, installed by the Apollo 15 astronauts.

15 was always my favorite very very very very closely followed by all the guys, of course, 11 is in a different category but I think you know what I mean, they were all BRILLIANT!

1:08:10  Dave Scott mentions Neil Armstrong; they were in an uncontrolled spin in Gemini 8 and Neil saved their butts.

If you ever want to read a wonderful book, read Falling to Earth by Al Worden.

Charlie Duke was Capcom during the Apollo 11 landing...and said ...'You've got a bunch of us here about to turn blue!
  • @stevehislop
It still seems that Neil is uncomfortable speaking in front of an audience...amazing.He is not afraid of riding a rocket as powerful as 10 atomic reactors...but he is afraid of speaking in public.

I can't believe there are empty seats and no one invited me to fill one of them!
