If you knew anything about Eddie Howe, you’d know he likes to work every day and fully immerse himself in the job, so this wouldn’t suit him. He also likes to purchase and then develop young players. This wouldn’t be the case with England.

The only people asking questions about Eddie Howes performance last season is the media. Newcastle fans understood the injuries and it takes time to integrate those players back into the squad and playing regular football. Ridiculous punditry

England is a massive step down from Newcastle simple as that no one truly cares about England just want what's best for there club

For Newcastle, letting Eddie go might be a good or a bad choice depending on how dedicated they are to make the club "No. 1". The club should be very serious about this. Keeping Howe for atleast 2 more years is the option I'd say and then part ways with him to achieve even greater things. Howe is the correct manager to keep Newcastle in the race for Europe constantly. He has the quality to even win a Carabao Cup for the club. But if the PIF management is insistent about an immediate Premier League/FA Cup/European title, now is a good time to think about it considering their ability to keep star players and a lot of high-profile managers in the market. The club must find a way to increase their revenue because the PSR rules is very tiresome for the club right now.
  • Why would any club manager manage that lot? It's clear some of the players and even people who live here don't have the same passion for the national team. Eddie is too smart to leave.
  • I remember one or two of these so called professional pundits had Howe down as some kind of interim manager who was incapable of taking Newcastle to the top of the footballing tree, boy were they proved wrong.😊😊😊😊

Eddie Howe shouldn't take this job right now. He's already well-paid and respected at Newcastle, whilst getting the England job is a reduction in both of the factors unless Howe miraculously end England's trophy drought by winning the World Cup that is... Howe want to lead England to major trophies, but now is NOT the right time to think of any International football. He should build himself a very good resumé and then work for England after 10 or 20 years. The pressure is simply too much for him.

Gab Marcotti showed he knows absolutely nothing about Eddie Howe.

Howes is too good a manager with many more years in his career to go into international team management . Unless he or Potter have a clear direction change in mind for their careers neither of them are taking the England position. Id actually put my money on Frank Lampard.

Gab for being an ‘expert’ is absolutely clueless when it comes to Newcastle sadly.
  • @GeordieDreadTV
Eddie aint as good as southgate at the media? Not as good at man management like Gareth? Okkkkk thennnnnn 🤔
  • As an England fan since 1980, it's been a very frustating long waited trophy, now all the pundits are discussing who is the next England manager that can bring a 2026 WC glory, Howe, Poch, Potter, Carsley, he3x back to factory setting, sorry about that, hope hope hope 😢
  • @melusinkosi437
Why aren’t you cowards saying anything about the whole Argentina squad singing that song??
  • @eirenuaireland
Howe should definitely take the 5 million + job . Club football jobs are perilous.
  • @tims4694
Howe would be a tremendous upgrade over Boregate.
  • @berry4726
England needs Berry to win World Cup 2026.
  • @TerribleEnglish
England is a graveyard for coaches like Man Utd is a graveyard for players. He should steer clear if he wants to be respected and values his reputation.
  • @skilla20
Eddie would be stupid not to take it there's no higher honour as an Englishman than managing your nation. He had a mediocre season last year and could very well be on the chopping block if he doesn't get back into Europe. If he manages England his status in the game would increase massively AND he's more likely to achieve success.
