I am very impressed with Cadillac's first EV. Shot on iPhone 14 Pro

  • It would be really cool if Marques showed off what CarPlay & Android Auto looked like on each vehicle he reviews (when applicable). Great video as always!
  • @etamlous
Cadillac really does make strikingly beautiful car silhouettes. I always found their taillights as coolest looking on the road.

This might actually be the first time I've been swayed from looking at the Model Y for a first EV. Nice work Cadillac.

14:05 That actually seems like a pretty amazing feature. If that specific part of your seat vibrates it naturally turns your attention to it so you can quickly spot any danger.
  • This has to be the best combination of touch screen and analog controls in an EV. Looks pretty amazing tbh. Tesla is cool but the lack of analog controls is a huge pain point regardless of their "futuristic" ideology.
  • Here you see the difference between a car manufacturer making a new electric car, and a computer company making electric cars. This car looks amazing.
  • @GoHerping
this is definitely not for me, but the roads are gonna be covered in some great looking cars. I like how brands are starting to embrace actually futuristic design
  • I watch virtually every well-known car reviewers videos on YouTube daily, and I can say I genuinely enjoy how you're approaching this. Just straight to the point talking about what's good what's not showing off the most important features.
  • having to push the "door handle" and then move my hand to grab that piece bellow the window to pull the door open which makes that the actual door handle technically immediately annoys me that I can't unlatch and pull open the door in one action

This thing is cool. I saw it and sat in it at the auto show a few weeks ago. I’ve never been a huge fan of Cadillac cause I’ve always viewed it as an “older” brand too, like you mentioned. But I think this is a car that could grab a lot of younger people to the brand, especially since it is electric
  • Marques has added reviewing electric cars to his arsenal along with what he already does so seamlessly. 🙌🏼

As far as the lack of sportiness, this is the base trim of the Lyriq so it’s not going to be all that sporty. However, there will be a sport trim that’s coming for 2024, and shortly there will be the AWD version with about 500hp and that should change things as well. More interior colors will be coming next year as well.
  • @Garlander
Fun fact, the surround sound system works as noise cancelation as well 👌
  • its good to see a nice display/software experience on a new car, and also not have it replace all the physical buttons. thats a win for everyone tbh. now the door handles... lets just stop with two touch to entry.
  • @DarknoorX
GM has been killing it more and more since 2012. I'm glad to see where they are now. I also hope to see them improve further.

Love this channel, keep it up! It would be really cool if you'd also show examples of ambient lights in each car that you review (if there are any, ofc). Just a few shots of interior in dim lighting would be enough. As a tech enthusiast and coming from MKBHD channel, I'd love seeing this - gotta love those lights! 😁
  • MKBHD is keeping his options open for electric car reviewer, tech reviewer. Podcast and in so many other areas.
  • @Moont706
With electric cars being the future I think MKBHD is in a perfect place to lead his YouTube career in another direction with this channel giving his tech background. I can see him and this channel being one of the go to channels that EV auto manufacturers go to in the future to predict consumer wants and trends.
  • At this price point, GM really knocked this out of the park. It's competing with much more expensive EVs (when you consider what's in the 60k-ish range). The AWD version with 500hp is going to be the way to go.
  • They've really done an excellent job here with the new technology and making things look good and pleasing ton the eye as well as being user friendly.
