The Milky Way is a tremendous structure in space containing billions of stars and trillions of planets. In their turn, these objects are surrounded by gigantic clouds of interstellar dust and scorching hot gas streams. By mutually interacting, all these components make up the bizarre and fascinating picture called galaxy. And today we invite you on an exciting journey across it.

  • You know, im a 60 yr old male and i have learnt more about space from watching just a few of your videos than i have gathered in my entire life of learning whats beyond our very tiny world !!! Thank you so very much for doing what you do to teach us all these wonderful facts of our Universe !! :):):)

Anyone here watch this videos to fall asleep 😅
  • Nice, a free journey around our own glaxay from my own home in extreme comfort. I always forget how big it is and how little we see of it. I love your content.
  • I have spent a very pleasant Saturday afternoon exploring the galaxy via your videos. I love to learn and you make the learning process very enjoyable. Thank you so much for uploading, Kosmo!

We know so much about space, the Universe and the Milky Way etc, and yet also know so little. Totally awe inspiring.

Just got back from a space event with my 8 year old son who is obsessed with space and the stars, I must admit I’ve always been interested in our universe however they showed us beyond our Milky Way and I didn’t realise how many galaxies are beyond it , so amazing . Thank you for your videos new subscriber 👋
  • @37rainman
for a visualization of how large the galaxy is: At the speed of Voyager 1, 35,000 mph, it would take about 82,000 years to get to the very nearest star to us, and about 510,000,000 years to get to the center of our galaxy
  • @twozzleweb
Im becoming fascinated with space lately, just continues to blow my mind 😮

Yet another 60 yo here! ' 63 was indeed a great year 😅 This is what I've learned; The more I know, the more I realize I DON'T know! I grew up very near Yerkes Observatory (Geneva Observatory) and been there dozens of times. The scientists still sponsor viewing nights. I had my first 60x reflector Tscope at 9yo. There's a never ending and fascinating store of knowledge in the universe. I never get bored watching and listening to these expertly produced videos. I do sometimes wonder if indeed we're all just living in a simulation. Nice to see many other 60 yo's here. ✌🏻To us (US) all.

15 minutes in and i have to say this has been an absolutely flawless documentary and exactly what i was looking for. from the articulate and easily understood narration, to the imagery, to the logical progression of the video. such great work, thank you!

on the subject of space, i feel like the scale of the known universe, or even the scale of single galaxies are never really fathomable. Billions of this, trillions of that .... these numbers just dont compute with most people, including myself, its actually terrifying if we ARE or are NOT alone
  • Huge shout out to the camera man and crew for getting all this footage. They don't get enough recognition
  • @brianw612
For anyone who does not know, any increase or decrease in temperature scale is exactly the same for both Kelvin and Celsius, they simply zero at a different point. Zero Kelvin is absolute zero while zero Celsius is the freezing point of water (conditional). A 100 degree increase for either would be identical.
  • I began watching this video when i was 16 and reached its end when i am 17 a great way to cross over ages.Still it proves my great love for astrophysics
  • I'm very grateful for your presentation, my mother had a job at J.P.L. back in 1970 and she expressed to us Voyager willprovide for generations science helping Change, progress, and meaning in our tumultuous years thx.ps.very proud
  • Very very thanks to the team of kosmo for providing us with such vital informations.
  • I love your videos! I've always been extremely interested in the cosmos & love the videos that explore it. Would you by any chance do a video on The Great Attractor? I think that's what they call it, basically where our galaxy & other galaxies around ours are being "pulled" or "attracted" to an area in space that we can't see. I'd love to learn more about that if you know anything more 🙂 Thank you!
  • @Gyrfalcon312
A relaxing narration of some of the spookiest planets I've ever heard 😆, ever-fascinating stars and stellar phases, and the weird stuff including black holes and quasars... A first-rate accounting of what's in our galaxy, all told, Kosmos team. Thank y'all for the lovely imagery and science!
  • @houssemh220
For someone who's interested in astrology but have a bad English I wish you could do translationa for your videos so every one can enjoy thanks.
