“Please be a cucumber” “i’m not but what you tasted is” I’m dead 💀
  • @Phenomenon175
my toxic trait is thinking i would immediately get all of them right
  • @PREDATORWOLF_
Dude tastes wines and just gets knocked out by a grape.. ironic.
  • Something unique to MasterChef Australia compared to the other versions that makes it feel so casual is that the contestants all address judges on a first name basis, it's kinda like they're all just friends
  • I once did this with some classmates, we all brought different things and one person was in charge of giving out the pieces. I and three others were going strong, until I got a certain piece of fruit. I immediately said "Oh, this is starfruit!" Everyone: "Wait how did you know that so quickly?" (starfruit isn't something commonly available in my town) Me: "Because I'm allergic" I forfeited and spent the rest of the game with Bratz lips and wanting to scratch the inside if my burning throat.
  • And Christine Ha was cooking without sight during the entire masterchef US show. Respect on another level for that woman.

5:40 Top 20 amateur chef in Australia: Is it a carrot? Jury: ...... It is a carrot Everyone: Incredible! Just wow!
  • @kerrybree9241
Honestly, she shouldn’t have been knocked for saying wasabi because almost all wasabi we eat is horseradish and not actual wasabi.

If you’ve eaten Indian/Thai mangoes all your life, Australian mangoes will taste and feel like nectarine. You can’t bite into mangoes from the subcontinent/South Asia (unless raw they are generally very mushy) + they have a very distinct sweet aroma which Aussie mangoes don’t have.
  • Lots of comments saying how easy this is, but I think we really underestimate how much we use our sight when we eat.
  • @alleymeowcat
Biting into a carrot has a unique sound. Anyone else heard it and thought carrot at the same time??

The blind winner from masterchef us would most likely ace this test

"We've arranged the cubes from easy-to hard." Me: well that's broccoli right there.

Lol “i can’t believe i have to cook for my survival again”. Girl you’re gonna be a chef. You’ll be cooking for survival for the rest of your career and life lol
  • Reminds me of when my dad got me bubblegum scented lip balm, but it was white in a green container. I KNEW the scent and spent an hour thinking about it, but I wouldn’t have been able to say bubblegum to save my life. Flavors are obvious, but also surprisingly difficult when u go in blind 😆

it’s so interesting to watch these! it makes me want to try a blind taste test myself
  • Ray: I'm good at Blind taste tests Also Ray in the first round: I have no idea what it is.

The lady who said chicken deserved that bottom spot 😭 chicken is not salty like ham, and also they'd already had a chicken cube earlier obviously they wouldn't put 2 chicken cubes just to through everyone off
  • Id love to do a sushi version of this with every kind of fresh seafood just in small cubes would be awesome
