Hey Friends, we just turned our calendars over to November and I bet you’re already beginning to feel the holiday stress setting in. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, but don’t get yourself worked up just yet. Today me and my momma are in the kitchen making her family famous cornbread dressing and that’s just the beginning. I’m also sharing 3 other recipes perfect for your Thanksgiving table but easy enough to have any night of the week; like a Jiffy Broccoli Cornbread and a yummy appetizer - cranberry cream cheese dip. 12 in skillet of prepared cornbread crumbled fine
2 stalks celery and small onion chopped
14.5 oz can chicken broth
10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
Sage - A heck of a lot - just smell to your liking LOL
Black pepper
1 stick melted butter
Mix everything together, spread on a greased cookie sheet (aprx 10 x 15), cook at 350 for 40-60 minutes, you just want it to get cooked thru and browned on top. You could also try cooking it a 375-400 for about 30-40 minutes.

Hello every one , this is Granny Mels mom, thank you all for watching and the kind replys, i guess you can tell we are just country folks who like country cooking, some of you were wanting chicken snd dumplings , well the day we had the dressing i made some before going to church, they were good, came home was going to warm them up , ended up letting them stick so we had some odd black specks in them but still were ok. Let me think on it for a while lol.Thanks for all the love you show my mel, she is special to me!

I bought one of those from Amazon they have them for 6 dollars. They are amazing little choppers. Your momma is just a doll I love cornbread stuffing, my momma used to make it before she passed away now I can't get it. I don't make it myself because it just wouldn't be as good as hers.You look like your momma you are both beautiful young ladies.

My. Grandma only used cornbread. They came out to California when my dad was a boy but we still eat like we are in Oklahoma and Arkansas. I miss her so much so I try to cook like grandma. I’m 70 now so I’m trying to teach my only granddaughter all the recipes.
