I don't know why, but there's something about Yume Nikki's atmosphere that always makes me melancholic in a good way. No narrative, no plot, just an experience, a deep dive into one's consciousness. The nature of the dream world is captured marvelously. An existence devoid of time and rules, a comforting darkness.

33:06 God i wish i could explain all that the Omori soundtrack means to me. Every track is equally haunting and beautiful, and i'm so happy it's getting all the recognition it deserves.

I feel like Niko could be in the picture, I have always had a soft spot for them, they are an amazing character that comes from an amazing games, don’t get me wrong, the amazing rpg that became world known, AKA undertale, is good, but I feel like OMORI, oneshot, and Yume Nikki are extremely underrated, this games are far from what undertale is, but are as good if not better than it, and they all kind of fall in the category of an RPG, and they should get wayyy more attention, one shot was so good, amazing, touching, and compelling, and omori, omori was something else, it had charm, alongsides everything one shot had and more but expressed it in a different way and manner, but none of them got the attention they deserved I hope that in a future, these games can finally get what they deserve and be treated as the masterpieces that they are.

the games that make this “genre” up. Yume Nikki (even fangames like 2kki and .flow) Lisa, Omori, OFF, OneShot, Hello Charolette, Undertale, even one’s like Space Funeral or Hylics.. the feelings of these games are so raw in comparison to others I’ve played. ofc other games make me sad or happy or whatever else, but these games evoke something deep within people that i don’t think enough people can really capture, and i can’t even really describe what that is. it’s kind of funny how it all started with Mother/Earthbound. a truly beautiful series. edit! if anyone has any games that really match these that i didn’t mention, please let me know!!

Eastward is such an underrated game! glad it's finally getting some well deserved attention. The artstyle is absolutely fantastic and the storyline and characters are great as well! Absolutely love that game, definitely worth checking out if you haven't at all. Omori is an awesome game as well and it's great to see it getting so much attention

when i saw Eastward was on here I got so so happy- it's my favorite game i've ever played and does NOT get enough attention. im surprised more ppl aren't talking about it in the comments, the soundtrack makes me FEEL THINGS im actually listening to this while writing the script for a video about Eastward :)

Ooh, Yume Nikki X Omori crossover. :3 This art really captures that hauntingly beautiful feel that Yume Nikki has too, I love it. <3 But what is Eastward? :? (Also, is that second song supposed to be Yume Nikki but without the second k on purpose? o.O Because... I don't think I remember this song at all, and I thought I more or less knew everything there was to know about the original game at least... when did this ever play? o.O I don't recognize the track name either...
