You can actually place wool around and on the top of shriekers so they wont hear you. You can deal with multiple shriekers around you and take them one by one down safely.

When the Warden spawns don’t crouch and sneak away because he emerges for 5 seconds which means you have 5 seconds to run for your life then crouch when you’re far enough away.

Pile of wool blocks are related to the lore of this place. You must walk on wool blocks in order to not make a sound, so it make sense that there's a campfire surrounded by soundproof blocks

to find an ancient city you have to go to mountains that are more than 140 blocks high

Dear Wadzee, Next time you want to find an Ancient City, I would recommend going to a Snowy or Stony Peaks biome as Ancient Cities most commonly spawn there. The mountain also has to be in 1.19 chunks, of course. Every 1 in 2 or 3 mountain peak biomes has the Ancient City, so instead of searching in random caves, I recommend that you try this. This also might be why you found the Ancient City that you did, because there were two Snowy Peaks. I hope this helps in the future!

Tip: In accessibility settings at the bottom you can turn down the dark pulsing slider to help you see better when the warden spawns.

Video idea: You should repair the ancient city and make it an armoury / safe house.

When you come across multiple shriekers, place wool around them so they won’t activate, and then take them out one by one.
