  • Your friends are your fellow workers, not your bosses. Look out for your friends and encourage them to look at for all their friends.

The first aerial bombing on US soil was against striking miners in West Virginia. Remember that the workers have the power, not the greedy bosses. They are nothing without us.

i got my coworker into sea shanty's and whenever we do hard labor in the warehouse, we always get loud while stacking or unloading stuff.

Oh, come on all you workers, who toil night and day By hand and by brain, to earn your pay Who for centuries all past for no more than your bread Have bled for your countries and counted your dead We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie in the sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about In the factories and mills, shipyards and mines We've often been told to keep up with the times For our skills are not needed, they've streamlined the job With slide rule and stopwatch, our pride they have robbed We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie in the sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about And when the sky darkens, and the prospect is war Who's given a gun and then pushed to the fore? And expected to die, for the land of our birth Though we've never owned one lousy handful of earth We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie in the sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about And all of these things, the worker has done From tilling' the fields, to carrying' the gun We've been yoked to the plow, since time first began And always expected to carry the can We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie in the sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie in the sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

This song has helped me get through a very tough work year. I work two jobs as an Airplane Mechanic Monday-Friday, and as a locomotive engineer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Working those double job days three times a week has beaten me down physically and emotionally, but no matter how much I fall, this song is always there for me to convince me to keep going. And keep going I do, because I am a blue-collar man, no matter how much the Fat Cats try to knock me down, I will never have my spirit broken. I am proud to work two jobs in the transportation industry, I’m proud to be following my dream, I’m proud to be a 4th generation railroader, and this song will, always be my war cry through the Hellish days to come

Makes me think of my husband, my father, my grandfather and great grandfathers. How hard they all work and how hard they worked for what little they had. Makes me look at my own sons and the legacy of hard work that was all their forefathers could leave them.
  • This is the anthem to my life. I have always loved the Dropkick Murphys version since I heard it like 20 years ago, so when this came out I was ecstatic. Even more so when the community project was announced, which I am proud to have participated in. Thanks, boys. You truly make my life better.

I'm usually not one to cry, but God danm this one did. I don't know why but it just reminded me of my dad, he was always such a hard worker, engineering on cars, planes, trains, and just before he was gone was even looking to work for nasa, and due to the working made his immune system weak. Strongest, smartest, kindest man I'll ever know. Miss you, dad.
  • I can't sing but man I sing this song at the top of my lungs like a screeching barn owl
  • no instruments are needed for such great voices singing their hearts out for the plight of the working class, such a beautiful song
  • @migmog9549
Boss makes a thousand, you make a buck, steal the catalytic converter off the company truck
  • Remember kids, your boss will steal anything that you let him take from you. So let him take nothing, and you will live in wealth always.
  • I'm a low income wage worker who's unemployed so i relate to this somewhat. Only from an amoral standard could one take pride in being the prototypical 'boss 'of an organization. Just throwing my random thoughts out. Feel free to dispute.
  • @ApexMining
This is the anthem for the younger generations against the older ones who are running the world into the ground for a profit
  • @LioTangg
Wtf comments are on now? Well just gotta say that's one of my favourites
  • @xLoLRaven
Holy shit, I just found the song of my people.
  • "And when the sky darkens and the prospect is war, who's given a gun and then pushed to the fore? And expected to die for the land of our birth, though we've never owned one lousy handful of earth?" Powerful, powerful stuff. Applies very well to a certain pair of countries in Eastern Europe, don’t you think?
