  • I always let algae carpet all walls except the front with goldfish and many others. Goldfish (shubunkins) always loved picking at it. Always stayed short any legnthy bits get trimmed quick Also freaking gorgeous tank and fish sir. Cant wait to get set up again.

I have spent 20 years fighting algae in various tanks. The idea of letting algea grow over the bottom sounds like payback lol. It looks great in your tank.

Clean 🧼 it all out and only use distilled water 💦 for changes if you have smaller aquarium . Also you can put a small uv steriliser filter in it

Great video. I'd like to grow a green algae carpet but my tank is being filled up with black beard algae. Any ideas to deter the black hair algae so I can replace it with a green carpet?

I have green carpet algea for only 2weeks
  • Hi, I am trying to get green algae. I got strong filtration + good lighting, got my tank setup running for 2 weeks now. But I see green hair algae + brownish/yellowish algae forming. What should I do?
