It looks like a lawn that professional aquascapers try to imitate with moss.
  • Love it. The algae gives it a more natural look, which might explain why the fish are so happy. Don't remove it. Plants look extremely healthy.

In my opinion the algae has made this tank go from beautiful to stunning! The way it has grown on the botanicals and hardscape makes it a cut from nature all the more 💚
  • That particular algae in that tank actually looks good IMO. Bright green and lush. Not black and stringy. It's not covering the plants and looks like intentional moss on hardscape. Just clean the glass and leave it. Another nice tank. Keep up the great work!

that algae looks awesome. I'm not one to panic over a bit of algae to be honest. As long as it's green, its fine with me :)
  • It gives it a mystery effect like an aquatic Middle Earth. Looks a healthy tank.
  • Depending on how intrusive an algae is in my aquariums I usually let it be. I concider it a part of a truly natural ecosystem and is actually filling a niche that is available.

I actually love algae growing on the hardscape.

I personally love how that looks, almost like a moss. I would buy that just like buying a plant.

You should sell those algae covered furry 'pacman' things. The hairs are so fine. They look like 2 macaroons glued together at an angle. I would love to have those in my tank.

As long as it isn't covering my front glass and plants, I let algae be--looks natural.

You are so lucky to have that beautiful carpet algae in your tank. It looks amazing and all of the inhabitants love it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful tank
  • I have the same green algae like that growing on my driftwood in a three year old tank filled with buce and anubias. Honestly pretty happy with it. Never been in a river with clean driftwood anyways.

i'd welcome that algae in my aquarium especially on my hardscapes. I've recently had some dust green algae growing on some rocks and I love the bright green color it adds to my aquarium.

Lol , I've never seen shrimp so active! Really cute to watch.
  • I think it looks pretty and natural and everyone seems so peppy and happy. I loved the big boys tank when the back looked like a lagoon.

I encourage algae growth (and a little detritus) in fry tanks. Lots of yummy goodies for growing fish!
