  • Zakk is awesome, my first time seeing him I got to meet him, and got a pick from him. It was on the Sonic Brew tour, the funny part is it was a show that was never scheduled. Zakk was stuck in town, and didn't want to sit in a hotel room, so he booked a small local venue. He called the local rock radio station, and had them announce it. Going to that show, only cost me $1.01, and I got to hear a ton of stuff off Stronger Than Death before it was released.

The bit where you see Zakk on the flatbed in front of the Subway restaurant was a Gibson sponsored guitar clinic mini tour Zakk did in 93. It was just him and two local musicians provided at each date. Not his band. He did a MEAN version of Mississippi Queen and War Pigs. I was at the Greenville SC clinic at Phil’s Music and got to meet him and talk to him. It was very cool. He is one of the most down to earth Dudes you ever care to meet. He could just as easy be the guy that works on your brakes down at the local garage.

Hi, Jimmy! I like most things Zakk, and I met him right before he joined Ozzy. 🎶💖🎸💘🔥Cheers! \|/
  • With the growing of his beard, his guitar skills improved times 100! A real guitarslinger on steroids he is! ♨️♨️♨️
  • This is another great video, Jimmy. I saw Pride & Glory (1994 if I remember correctly) once in Oklahoma City when they held a food drive (canned goods) concert for charity. I got to see them perform in exchange for a can of Golden Hominy at the door. They played a full set of the Pride & Glory album and associated tunes. Then they came back out on stage and played an additional 2 hours of just Black Sabbath. It was cool. Zack Wylde is definitely a music fan at heart.

I love Zakk and his many bands. Pride & Glory was absolutely incredible. Black Label Society is still a great band that I look for to see if they’re touring all the time.
