Hi friends, happy Thursday!

Welcome to Dark History. Today we head back to the world of slimy corporations. What started out as a company just looking to feed babies morphed into a cooperation with such a shady past even Dupont would blush. Yep, today we’re taking a closer look at Nestle and just a few of the awful things they’ve done as they’ve grown into a global corporation. And let me tell you, it is not pretty.

I appreciate you for coming by, and tune in next week for more dark history.

You can find Dark History podcast on Apple, Spotify, wherever you listen to your podcasts, and every Thursday here on my Youtube for the visual side of things.

  • All this dirt on Nestle really makes me think about what other huge corporations have been doing behind closed doors…
  • @jenniferbee5381
The lack of sponsors on this ep is very telling. Proud of you Bailey for going on and covering the evils of nestle!
  • @BBMc107
My grandmother wouldn’t let us get Nestlè chocolate in the 70’s. She said it was the way the employees in South America were being treated by Nestlė. I never forgot how enthusiastically she despised them. Now I know what that was all about.
  • @TheMaturin1
I've boycotted Nestle ever since the CEO said publicly that access to clean water is not a human right! It makes shopping difficult sometimes lol. I get the strangest looks when people find out, and I'm really not sure why. I love that you did this video!
  • @carrieheron9816
The tribes and natives have been calling attention to this and fighting with nestle for years. No one listens. Thank you for bringing awareness Bailey!!! Love you
  • @zajch
Bailey is not slowing down with exposing every corporate just for the curious cats out there.
  • @I_am_not_fast
We need to stop letting big companies buy other companies, keep them from being monopolies and make it impossible to avoid them
  • @MoreAgain9
My 6th grader enjoys this Dark History series. After pre-listening to most of them myself, I want to thank you for making these enlightening, entertaining, and relatively clean for tween ears.
  • @anahnnemus5187
She's joking about nestle ending her but seriously she is probably a little worried. Like, laughing to cover the unease. She's brave af.
  • @_Kkch_uma_
She should cover the history of The Johnson&Johnson company
  • @djlibby8805
Fun fact: an autopsy on an animal is called a necropsy.
  • I work in a veterinary hospital and I recently was put in charge of inventory and stocking our prescription diets. I'm literally here because I just noticed Nestle's name on the Purina boxes & wanted to make sure everyone knows Nestle owns Purina. So glad you mentioned it in more detail here, I learned a lot!
  • @queenrainbow701

  • @mbodini
Knowing Nestle and how powerful they are…. This is the bravest Dark History episode yet! So glad Bailey chose this story
  • I've been boycotting Nestle since the early 2000s. They are evil! Thank you for covering this x
  • Honestly, it was really brave of Bailey to post this because of all the power big corporations have. Proud of her.
  • @FknAlexx
If you don't want to remember a NEVER ENDING LIST of companies, just PLEASE BUY LOCAL WHENEVER YOU CAN. VALENTINES DAY IS COMING UP. If you, reading this, avoid Nestlé for Valentines day, we can make a big dent
  • You can tell she actually cares about the topic. Barely any ads, going after an issue still actively affecting us, a big corporation.. Bailey stay safe, we all love you
  • Bailey , I had to be a stay at home mom when Covid started and I got really depressed. I found your page and your stories and humor just helped me so much . Thank you .

My cat was slowly poisoned to death with the Purina packets around 2005. It was terrible to watch and we didn't know why it was happening. Our vet suspected poison but thought we'd left out antifreeze that she drank (we didn't, and also this is California) or a neighbor was doing it. We never suspected the food. It was a name brand and we thought that surely it gets tested for quality. I still cry about it sometimes thinking about how we accidentally killed our pet 😥
