I'm a STEM student and, let me tell you, science isn't any better. The amount of contributions female scientists have made, yet have not been credited for, is insane!
  • Cleopatra was also the first pharaoh of her family that actually spoke egyptian. Cleopatra's dynasty of rulers (the ptolemies) were greek and they refused to learn egyptian, as this language was associated with poor people. They only spoke greek, as this was the noble language; all laws were written in greek and then translated to egyptian. Cleopatra was the first pharaoh of her dynasty to actually learn egyptian. She did care for the poor people and the people loved her back. She was a very charismatic leader. It is a shame that she was the last egyptian pharaoh ever. The ones before her didn't care as much as she did.
  • Cleopatra is extremely fascinating. She was not just a pharaoh. She was a mathematician, scientist, created makeup (used charcoal for eyeliner for medical reasons and taught her people about the safe uses of charcoal as eye makeup) She was thought as a magical beauty BUT no one actually knows what she even looks like because when Augustus won the war, he made it a point to erase her image completely which included removing coins that had her face on them. She was even a great leader in war and fought in the front lines with her army. Insane!! ❤
  • Justin looked like the “saint” during the Britney Spears Justin break up. Looking back on how she was treated vs how Justin was treated is so sad. The interview with BS and Diane Sawyer made me mad then but seeing what all has happened in Britney’s life since then it infuriates me even more.

I used to hate being named Joan, but now I enjoy it because hearing Bailey say "Joan, you look cute!" just brightened my day even though I know she was talking to a stuffed crow.
  • Bailey, you should do a Dark History about the history of powerful female pirates like Grace O'Malley, Ann Bonny, Mary Read, Zheng Yi Sao, and Rachel Wall and how men tried to erase their stories from history. Can't have badass women running the world, after all.🙄

Bailey! Cleopatra definitely deserves her own episode 😩
  • Can you PLEASE do a part 2 & feature Medusa’s story… it’s so messed up!! & the men who CAUSED everything were overlooked
  • This felt so satisfying, Bailey standing up for fellow women.
it’s what I have noticed as well in private and professional life that women get judged more harshly on things. It’s ridiculous.

Family and I watched that Janet documentary series that recently came out and the thing that was the saddest about that incident was that she wasn’t angry at Justin and she didn’t want him to receive any backlash or hate so she never said anything and supported him going to award shows when she was banned. Even recently when people were calling him out on it she posted a video saying that she forgave him and that they’re friends. She was too kind, and just for media to shame and cancel her. Bless her heart and soul. 💔
  • You should really do an episode about Cecilia Payne and the women who mapped the stars. Williamina Flemming, Antonia Maury, Annie Jump Cannon, and Henrietta Leavitt. They all made incredible leaps and discoveries in astronomy and never got recognition for their works during their lifetimes. Many of them still aren't credited for their discoveries in scientific forums. It's really tragic.
  • We need a series of women who go unrecognized for their accomplishments. This would be amazing 🥺
  • @iino07
Yoko doing her iconic weird cackle into the microphone whilst Chuck Berry and John Lennon were trying to jam will forever haunt my mind
  • @amybynight
You make Jon and Yoko's marriage sound so lovely. Wish that were true. Yoko kept him away from his first son. His first son and his mother were on welfare during this time. And Jon brought other women home at night and told Yoko to deal with it. It was far from light and roses
  • @hollykent979
marie antoinette is a big one, soooo much unfounded rumours went around and even her ‘let them eat cake’ line that made her so infamous didn’t even happen and the entirety of france blamed her for king louis’ mistakes, you could do a whole video about it
  • It’s so crazy how they treated/talked about cleopatra just like Ms Monroe
  • Actually could we get a dark history of Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnez? I think that would be so compelling coming from you.
  • Bailey PLEASE do a series! Of all the Dark Histories (Herstories?), I love this one best. I am your 67 year old geriatric fangirl and your videos brighten my day!🥰
