“Balderdash, my heart is a better compass than your cogs and gears” - brilliant line, oh,to be smitten . . .

What an absolutely riveting tale of whimsey, romance, and escape from monotony. May they live happily ever after. Bravo, Magnetfilm. Bravo, indeed.

Man, there's more art in these 11 minutes than entire movies...

Lovely! The art was gorgeous! A feast for the eyes. Loved the steampunk style and the rich textures. There seemed to be a little Edward Gorey in there too. Enjoyed the happy ending and the message as well, though I felt a little bad for poor Bertie as I think he was underappreciated. He really did seem to care about his human.

I often play shorts, but this was the first time one of them got my wife's and daughter's attention. They both sat and watched it and enjoyed every bit of it. It was like a modern Mr. Magoo to me. I could imagine a series with the antics of Widdershins as he tries to connect with his love, always comes close but never succeeds. We would watch every episode rooting for Widdershins' success. Very well done.
  • Exquisite. The Edwardian "retrofuturism" with the charcoal lines and the 3D modelling really makes this an evocative and alluring work.

Only Scotland could produce something so sophisticated, provocative, and slightly psychotic. Brilliant work.

Congratulations to everyone in the team behind this. Loved everything. So stylish, so steampunk, such amazing animation! x

Me and my wife are going through this together right now.... We left comfort and monotony for a little adventure, an adventure that goes against the "normal" path one should take in life... Happy travels to all the risk takers out there who don't conform

In a world of material things, the human touch is the most hardest thing out of reach and the right soul mate is what makes us human, amazing that the lady with her free spirit awakens our man 😎 the too feathery comment give me a chuckle 🤭 very enjoyable animation ,well done to all
  • Was a film student many years ago in college. Well done by all involved. Loved the backgrounds, textures, attention to detail on all the movements and the fluid changes with each scene, bloody well done!
  • I love how the technology can seem old and advanced at the same time
  • I love this. It truely captures the plight of what we are experiencing even today. A world where we are sacrificing our ability to live life to the fullest and instead confine ourselves to what is virtually a prison. Bravo indeed

An absolute jewel, only 200k views is ridiculous, this is a masterpiece
  • Splendid! So many short films leave one feeling unsatisfied with…well, everything, but this one is everything a short film should be! The story grabbed my attention immediately, held my interest throughout, and, most importantly, came to definite and satisfactory conclusion.

Mr. Biggs: This just came up on my recommendations... It deserves millions of likes and views! What an absolute delight! I too, Love Miss Caprice, and I adore this film! I would love more of their story, a couple bound by anarchy...

At last, a short movie that I can understand and appreciate without having to read endless theories as to what it "really" means. I prefer to trim my own moustache too 🥸
  • The black and white color choices really underlined the steampunk inspiration for this piece. I enjoyed it immensely!

That Shot where He jumps and it switches between him and the Egg falling is so good, i've rarely Seen Something that is so Well Made, it Just really makes the Scene pop
