Been to Mongolia 3 years ago and I absolutely loved it. The countryside is still so vast and empty with people still living in their Gers and everyone is super friendly :)
  • Mongol Empire expansion is what Mongolia is remembered for even tho this empire happened 800 years ago
  • @decorn2542

Gotta say, I really enjoyed the Great Man vs. Circumstances angle you took in this video, and major props for that detailed map of what the Steppe looked like before Genghis' conquests!

Subedei is the most underrated generals of all time, he was the greatest in Mongol empire, he has 88 wons in battle and 0 losses. He didn't lost any battle in his lifetime and almost all of his battles were outnumbered from enemy

It would've been cool to detail what happened during the time skips, why is Mongolia independent today, how to independent Mongolias are formed during the ming and Qing dynasties. I mean you've went into details for other countries having to divide the history into multiple videos, it would've been nice to know more about Mongolia.
  • I’ve been really interested in nomadic civilizations for a while now and this video was sorely needed. Thx for the video, I hope one day I can make content like this and educate everybody about topics I just find interesting

I've been to Mongolia twice and it's AMAZING! This video@9:45 is exactly how feels deep in the countryside of the Steppe at Amarbayasgalant monastery.

When someone uses the word "Mongol" as a way to insult you, but you just take it as a compliment, because Mongols are so great <3 Love from Hungary 🇭🇺
