The National Guard is a foundation for American defense.

Do people realize that Ike Eisenhower, the great Ike Eisenhower by the way, never saw combat. A 5-Star General and Supreme Commander never actually saw any combat. Dont throw stones at anyone in the military because they weren't Patton or Audie Murphy

As an Army retiree, I wish the news organizations would contact the Office of The Adjutant General of Minnesota to ask any and all questions about CSM (1SG/MSG) Walz's record and retirement instead of civilian journalists. Civilians stumble over titles, schooling, characterization of service, even nomenclature of weapon systems and it is cringe.

Walz served 24 years. I don't care he decided to retire. Vance served 4 years, and his weapon was a pen. They both served thank you both. I do like Walz other public history vs. Vance. Walz being a teacher and coach, house representatives, and governor. Vance was a capital venture. Thanks to his good friend Pete Thiel. Vance changed his name numerous times. Until a republican with John McCain, caliber runs, I can not vote republican.

All claims have been thoroughly debunked. He RETIRED 2 months BEFORE his unit was even notified about possible deployment to Iraq. And RETIRED with full permission of his commander.
