Democratic VP pick Tim Walz’s experience in the armed forces is an atypical one for most Americans— particularly for politicians. But that doesn’t stop JD Vance from baselessly accusing Walz of “stolen valor.”

I just don't get how 47%'ish of the voting public can ignore Trump's breath-taking dismissal of veterans as losers, yet at the same time buy into Vance's 'stolen valor' thing. The dissonance is thundering. At the end of the day, the problem is not really Vance and Trump. It's the low standard of common sense and critical thinking in the American public at large. If the democracy is to be saved, that standard has to be raised.

After Cadet Bonespurs said "I prefer people that weren't captured" and calling them "suckers and loser's" I don't know how any Veteran or their families would vote Trump.
  • @ferodfriend792
That picture is what USA needs to see everywhere. Specially those that are veterants devaluated by Trump.
  • @judd442009
Thanks, Mr. Walz, for your service in the US armed forces and your continued advocacy for those men and women who are veterans. You succeeded in preventing the Trump administration from "PRIVATIZING" the veterans' medical services.
  • This is not the first veteran Captain Bonespur has insulted. Won't be the last.

Tim Walz served in the Army National Guard for 24 years, from 1981 to 2005 when he was honorably discharged. Then, in 2005, Walz completed a course on how to run for Congress, and then, in 2006, he ran for Congress, won, and served for 12 years (6 terms). During his military service, he earned the title of Nebraska Citizen-Soldier of the Year. He also deployed to Vicenza, Italy, for six months to serve with the European Security Force in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 24 years of service is not nothing. It's honorable. JD Vance enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in Iraq as a combat correspondent for six months in late 2005. He was part of the Public Affairs section of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and said that he was "lucky to escape any real fighting." Thanks to both of these men for their service. However, It offends me to hear Vance belittle Walz's service.
  • @Thawk54
Vance insulted everyone who has ever served on active duty but did not serve in combat by characterizing our service as “Stolen Valor.”
  • @dayreys983
Sadly Chris you’re singing to the choir. Those that need to stop the spread of the lies about Walz will probably never hear the TRUTH. AMERICA needs more good men like Tim Walz
  • Don't support Trump/ Vance support our troops that serve and defend the nation and uphold the Constitution
  • @cu9721-u8t
Walz is an admirable, well rounded person. I am so proud to have him as a democratic vice presidential candidate! Absolutely LOVE his values and authenticity!! Let's go Harris - Walz 2024!!
  • @anthony19723
I just love Walz. He is a Patriot and has served, not like all of the people who call themselves patriots but don't have any service. VOTE BLUE!
  • @suzanne9150
Vance served 3 and half years in Cherry Point North Carolina as a media journalist, he carried a pen....NOT A WEAPON. VANCE SAW NO COMBAT IN IRAQ AS A JOURNALIST.
  • @tfajsh
This attack shows just how desperate Trump and Vance are. And it doesn’t hold water. Gov. Walz spent 24 years in uniform. This man is a patriot. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
  • @user-tu4rn8ui9u
Walz is exactly what Vance could never be. This is a sideshow because they are terrified of Walz. Well, the American electorate has this guy's back.
  • @samhunt7653
We respect you Mr. Walz. You’re definitely supporting the right candidate for freedom!
  • Given everything Rump said about John McCain, no one should be surprised
  • @Julia4453
Exactly. It just burns me when services are cut or inadequate for veterans. They should get the best treatment.
  • Highlight to Mr Vance the service record of DJT against that of Waltz and ask him which record is the most honourable one.
