I’m way late, but I couldn’t not comment how adorable it was when you and your dog got startled at the exact same time lol

The easy bake oven was easily my favorite toy as a kid. Born in 81 so I had all the 90’s toys. Teddy Ruxpin anyone?😅
  • @SasutheStrange
my parents were to cheap to buy the easy bake cake mix so i spent like over 4 hours trying to cook a real cake mix cake with my easy bake oven LOL

Watching all of these toys is amazing, the memorieesss
  • I love that she mentions the reason why her parents didn't buy those things for her. So it's not like... my parents were bad and cheap and didn't care about what I wanted.

As a vintage toy collector, my heart died a little when you ripped open that sky dancer 😂

I used to have one of those easy bake ovens, actually I still do! it's extremely old and covered in spiders dust and webs but I believe it was the green/teal one. I'd cook the cookies almost every chance I got when I was younger, and even my parents liked it.

How fun! Such a variety. Just for the record & FYI ........I adored using my little easy bake oven in the mid-1950s. My 1st masterpiece was a 2 layer birthday cake for my Daddy! 3-4" diameter. I was hooked. Lots of fun & I felt like a real baker. Ah, the good times!😊

We had several Easy Bake Ovens because my son (born in '91) wanted to be a chef. He was around 8 years old. I remember being kinda pissed because they were ALL pink and girly, as if boys wouldn't want something like this. I think I even emailed the company, complaining about this lol. My son didn't care that much, he just wanted to learn to "cook". After a couple years, he outgrew these and began ACTUALLY cooking in our kitchen (always with supervision), finding recipes in my old Betty Crocker cookbook. In middle school, the students had an assignment where they picked their future career and then do a presentation in front of the class. My son still wanted to be a chef so the teacher worked it out to where he could use the school kitchen. He had to create his own recipe and bring the ingredients and then he was able to bake it in the school's kitchen (again, with supervision by the teacher and kitchen staff). He created a DELICIOUS cookie recipe so the entire class could enjoy his creation! He got an A!!! In high school, he wanted to go to the cooking school/college after graduation.

I'm not from the US, but the Skydancers were universal! I had two, I absolutely loved them. It was a real art to pulling the string just right to get them to fly perfectly.

I remember I used to have a minibake oven. it worked okay and I really enjoyed making my family sick on disguisting brownies I refused to eat, but my sisters ultimately pushed it off a high surface and destroyed it, crushing my baking dreams.

Leo was absolutely A--DOR--ABLE in this video. He made me giggle with his cute little head tilts when checking out his new sibling. ❤🐕

I still remember the taste of my mini gourmet McDonald’s burgers! 🍔I was obsessed & honestly wondered if I totally imagined the whole damn toy being real at all. 🤣

The Icing Artist made a miniature wedding cake using an Easy Bake Oven. Definitely worth a watch.
