Which are the best Porsche models to buy in 2024? I asked no less than five experts from three independent specialists: Paragon Porsche, Philip Raby and Harbour Cars. This year I split the question down into three categories: best Porsche for up to £50k, best Porsche for up to £100k, and best Porsche above £100k. Find out what our experts suggested in each of the categories… have they missed any models out?

The 996GT3RS remains the best 911 that I have ever driven. The pinnacle analog driving experience

Great vid. The Taycan recommendation is absurd. They can absolutely drop more.

A lot of love for the 997.1 and .2. The turbos in these models will at some point go silly crazy like the 993’s did, they’re classed as classics already, yes we are that old 😂 great vid, thank you.

Great insight from your experts. Happy New Year!

I got myself this year a X50 manual 996 Turbo with the Aerokit and over 25 X-Codes. Best decision ever, ain‘t gonna sell that one ever

Always find these videos entertaining and interesting... Especially with all the love for the 997.2s!

Had a 997.1 Turbo before, gorgeous car but I didn’t get on with the awd. Drive one before you commit. Recently got a manual buckets 991.2 GT3 and I absolutely love it. It’s a keeper!

This video is one I always look forward to at the end of each year. Thanks, Lee…! With new (base) 911 Porsches pushing $150K (USD) there are plenty of great pre-owned options in the under $50K range. Next year consider adding a fourth category…under $25K, just to see what the experts think?

Great insight and some valued info. Many thanks

997.1 Turbo MT for me. Incredible amount of car for the £££. There are only 6 for sale on Autotrader. So seemingly getting rarer and rarer. I also get the feeling the Turbo badge meant a bit more on the 997.1 than on subsequent 911 iterations. The proliferation of the GT cars have perhaps cast a little bit of a shadow on the Turbo named models.

i bought a 996 C4S Cabriolet recently. It's the newest 911 with the broad fat rear reflector bar look like that of the 993, 964 and G Series. For those who want that big fat rear light bar look, 996 C4S is also the only one with frameless doors. I completely covered the huge indicator lights, drilled a hole on the side of the rear tail lamp, and move the indicator bulbs down to emphasise the fat rear light bar look. Just did a 6,000km run-in to thailand's legendary Mae Hong Son loop with 4,088 corners with the car, after an engine rebuild that fixes the bore scoring and replacing the IMS with European Parts design.

A lot of focus on investment. Why not buy the CAR you want to drive and have in your garage?

    Phenomenal video!! Cheers!!
  • The Taycan can't drop any more? What a foolish thing to say considering that all EVs depreciate like a rock, and will be valueless once their batteries come due for replacement.

In the US the Porsche market is very inflated at the moment. A local dealership has a new Cayman GTS 4.0 marked up 20k over MSRP and would not budge on price. So I went and bought a 2007 997 Carrera 4 with cash and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. Or until it developed bore scoring…
