  • “Krul for the Dutch, Crueler (Krul-er) for Costa Rica” that was some fire commentary
  • @FaizalIrfandi
Krul had guessed all the penalty shot directions, and saved 2 shots. What a goalie!

Turns out Tim was Not an expert in penalties. It was just a psychological trick to fool Costa Rica. Well played 👏

Notice that even the balls that he let in.. he still dived the corner where they shot.
  • I never noticed at the time just how many shots were sent to the keepers left
  • He played the sub conscious mind of the opponent. Before every penalty kick Krul warmed up on one side of the goal and dived on the other side to save the kick. He let the opponent subconsciously think that the other side from where krul did his stretches was vacant.
  • I remember this game. I supported Costa rica as underdogs, and remember that Holland dominated all the game . If not Navas,it could be 3 or 4:0 for Holland. But Krul saved the day for Hollands !😅

What a performance by Krul. He shows who is the boss.
  • @roiped
What an iconic sentence by the commentator when the last penalty was saved
  • On paper, Navas was supposed to be better than Krul. That was a great move by van Gaal.
  • The fact that this happened in the stadium that my heart team plays, make this match more legendary for me

"It's Krul for the Dutch! It's cruel for Costa Rica..." You know the announcer was patiently waiting to say that

When you influence the subconscious mind, you don’t have to guess the direction. Krul did not guess any of the dives. He knew what influence he had put on their subconscious. He touched Ruiz’s right shoulder, subconsciously telling him to shoot in that direction. SAVE. He would walk around the box, either on the right or left. Subconsciously telling the shooters that that side is covered, so shoot in the opposite direction. Thrice, he dived in the correct direction, beaten by the power of the shot. Third time is the charm, SAVE. Learn about the subconscious mind and use it to your advantage. It’s a “superpower”.

You've reminded me of that Dutch golden generation led by rvp, robben and Wesley
  • I can't imagine how it feels to send your team to the World Cup final like that.
  • Krul from world cup hero to Luton Town reserve, lots can change in 10 years
