Strange but true fact: this was the last time Italy played a game in the knock out stage of the World Cup until (at least) 2026.

I remember this shootout and i already thought of Buffon as a veteran player at the time... and he's still playing now! What a man.

Fabio Grosso: almost lost in the football world map since the beginning to the end of his career.
