the fact you paid over 200$ for the original Furby, but my sister and I both got them for christmas the year they came out and they ended up destroyed... :'D I literally set one of them on FIRE before we moved from that first house. :'D They freaked us out because they never stopped. The one I set on fire with friends literally came back to life after being in the basement for a couple years :'D

When The Sims 4 released in 2014 it cost something around $59.99 for the basic version. The very base game didn't become free until 2022.
