I wish I had a father like him. Even though she painted over that project, he didn’t get mad. Instead, he reassured her to keep trying. I personally would’ve loved to be in that class.😊

"Art has a dumb teenage face, it doesn't look right because it's not finished" some of the wisest words ever said because it works as a perfect metaphor for not just how illy saw herself but how alot of teenagers do (and maybe alot of other groups of humanity if we're really reaching.)

I truly wish I had an art teacher like that, most of the artists I had were mostly like 'okay we're sculpting clay today' or 'we're making prints today' but the one art teacher that I had, was my vocational teacher, who taught Commercial art. We called him Mr. B, so I'll use it here. He taught me the fundementals, told me about how I could use paypal to pay for my work(Which later got hacked but we don't talk about that) and kind of encouraged me in a way to actually take art seriously, and treat it like a trusted business partner and not just a playground best friend, if you catch my drift.

Mr. Hudson is an anarchist legend. You're so lucky to have had such a badass teacher.

Having erased plenty of my own writing before anyone could see it I really felt it when you painted over your art. I appreciate your videos going into things like this.

CW Death I don’t think I have the energy to type how much my art teacher meant to me. She taught me through 1st-8th grade and I love her so much. She died but me and my friends from that time still absolutely treasure her and I still have some of the artwork I made in her classes. 💚 love you Ms. K. She was also a coach and made an impact on countless lives. I’ll never forget her. Art teachers deserve so much more (funding, support, appreciation, etc)

That's such a touching story. I hope he gets to see this, wherever he is. Teachers can be really incredible.

I had a Science Teacher that always wanted to study art, he told me on the day of graduation “Get that Art degree for the both of us - be the person that I never had to guts to become.”

I saw Mr. Hudson yesterday and showed him the video. He watched it quietly, not saying a word. At the end he sighed and shed a couple of tears. Then he stated how relieved he was that you had fond memories. He also was shocked you still had that note. He said he is Very Proud of your success. Oh, and the vending machine, it was always jamming taking people’s money. It had it coming.
