How far can you span C purlin?aWith Ryan's youtube.com/post/Ugkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNon… plan I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!

this type of model would be really useful as a learning tool for young carpenters and framers to understand the concepts of their trade
-
I may never do this in my life but I like it
-
I love it. One of my favorite things to see is a wood framed house. I love when I spot one and try to go by each day to see it come together. I hate when they start to clad it with the exterior materials so you can't see all the framing. Thank you so much for doing this. For me a framed house is like candy. I just can't get enough of it. Tiny small homes that almost invite you to try and build it are the ones I like most.

very cool, i'd love to see it goes on. See what you would use to cover walls etc, some minimal electricity for on-display lighting

I made one of these out of balsa. I even made joists and put down 'subfloor' and framed a second floor AND roofing trusses. Stairs are hard. Mine is a smaller scale so that I could use available sized balsa and only cut to length. Your larger scale model could even be wired up with realistic looking wiring and LED fixtures, not to mention realistic looking HVAC and fake plumbing. Consider me inspired to make my own larger scale and go nuts!

Oh, to have a workshop like yours. That wonderful saw is making me green with envy.

found this today as I wanted to start making scale models as a hobby. loved your work on the model. neat and precise. it gives me a good reference point to start. liked and subscribed already now :)

thanks for this, I have been looking for a demo on how to construct a scale model for a while now, this will be very helpful for my project.

I built one of these at a vocational school back in the 80's. Unfortunately it was lost in a tornado and I would like to build another one.

A smile goes such a long way. Awesome video and here’s hoping you get that home.
-

Finally, a model build how it’s really constructed. Great job!
-
Awesome pointers! I need a "build a roof" video for my ARCH class!
-
thinking making a lay out of my dream cabin like this. Yours is really cool. I have to comment on your cripple studs. I was taught to double them at the vertical frame and single in middle following the 16 inch lay out.
-
Wow that's awesome. I was thinking of building a model for the basement Reno.
-
Beautiful. That is brilliant.

I don't know How I'm just seeing this NOW... I have been looking for a video like this for years. Especially the ability to buy wood from a home depot or something like that and understand how to scale as well as cut it down to usable size to make something like this. I have a ton of floor plans in my head. that I wanna make scaled models of and I could never do it. I hope I'll be able to do it now... THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO Much... Your amazing...
