So much fun to see the very first ep of the best quiz show ever. A little cringy during the board (next vid) with no guessing, no cycling, and Victoria distractingly breaking in - everyone has learned a lot since then! This show just makes me happy, I’m so glad it’s kept going this long.

I love this show. I was reminded of it by the NYT game Connections

Love this show! Thanks for posting all!

At 0:01, Beta and Epsilon flip around. At 0:03, Gamma (on the right) flip around. At 0:07, Alpha and Gamma flip around. At 0:09, Delta flips around. You will now never unsee those, and they still flip around in the second version of the intro. Well, you can't see the Epsilon, Alpha and second Lambda flips in the second version since it happens along the symmetrical axis of their replacement images but I'm sure it still flips noneless.

Amusingly enough, I'm here because of a really good fanfic that mentioned this show. Specifically it was an AU of The Magnus Archives where everything is mostly fine and nothing bad happens, presented in chatfic form. Title is "we should ride this wave to shore", and I highly recommend it if you've listened to The Magnus Archives (which, for those of you who don't know, is a 200-episode horror fiction podcast with a large following among fiction podcast listeners in general).

Interesting idea. Original. Nice panelists. Presenter with a lovely voice. General Duhh, signing off.

Did Jack Whaley-Cohen later become the question editor for this show.? If not, his name is an enormous coincidence.
-
First time seeing this show, I love it :D

Thank you!

No Egyptian hyroglyphs!!!
-
The lack of a live audience is a bit unnerving.

Dang, I was going to guess darkness, I was way off

likewise

@FridaLaReina its the mix of intelligence and patronisation.
-
David Scott didn't leave the hammer and feather on the Moon, though.
-
"Merrily We Roll Along" is by Sondheim.
-
I love you.

God, this is weird to me. A version of this show done well would be Lateral by Tom Scott, which is fitting, because I think he was on this show.
-
Whaley-Cohen? The question setter?

Does anyone on Earth have series 5 and 6 that are watchable? Tried watching the cropped videos but you can't see the clues, why would anyone post these in the first place, a total waste of effort.
