People in the DK Finance sub-reddit (have been sharing their payslips with each other, and in this video I'll share 20+ of them with you: www.reddit.com/r/dkfinance/

Keep in mind that while these are all real (see the payslips!) they're not an absolute representation of what EVERYONE in Denmark earns. But it will give you some perspective

For some of the examples shown, theres is also being transfered some money (before taxes) to pensions. To be fair, when comparing payslip A vs. B, you will have to add this amount - or at least mention it - whan talking about how much many the person will have "in hand". People not having some of their salery transfered to pensions will either have to somehow finance this them selfs, eg. by investments etc, or having nothing except the "folkepension etc" when the leave their worklife.
  • Hi Mario! Thank you for sharing, it's a really interesting point of view from the emplyees perspective. I'd love if you could some day make a video about entrepreneurs and starting a business in Denmark. I know you've talked about your experience while you were studying and I'd love to hear more about the steps you had to go through when putting the ideas in motion
  • If someone is traveling for the first time to Denmark in January. Clothes to carry to weight winter.
  • This sanitiation salary is with overtime, on akkord (quota work, which is beeing outfased right now), probably in the Capital or a major city - in Jutland and on Funen the salary is somewhat lower. You also have to get up at around 4 oclock - you will probably need a nap when you get home, its hard fysical labour. I dont think you will find many sanitation workes with that salary in the rest of DK.
  • God video! Can you put the link of the website, pleasee? Congratulations for the great work!
  • Hej Mario, thanks for this video, giving a little insight in what one could expect as outcome living in Denmark. I was wondering if you could post the link to that website you mentioned at 13:34? It sounds like “mid loan” but googling that didn’t help 😅 Thank you
  • Hi Mario! I'm really enjoying your videos about Denmark, and after this video I have a question. What is considered a good starting salary in Denmark for someone with 2-3 years of experience? Thanks :)
  • the humble one who works in a shop is part time btw might be worth to mention
  • Hi Mario! I am about to start my PhD at the University of Aarhus. My monthly basic salary is approximately DKK 33K plus the DKK 1.4K PhD supplement. Additionally, in my case because I am a foreigner, have a fixed-term contract of less than 5 years and was recruited from outside of Denmark, I applied for the "pension exemption" scheme, which means that I will be paid together with my monthly salary an amount equivalent to the pension calculated at 17.1% of my basic salary. What I don't quite understand is whether the sum of all of the above, which is approximately DKK 40K per month will have the same tax rate or whether any part of it is deductible. Having said all this, I'm not really clear on how much my salary will be after tax and that has me worried. I understand it's not that low, but I'm going with my wife, who won't be working there and I don't want to be financially pressured either. By any chance could anyone give me an idea of how much I might be getting after-tax? Do you think it is a decent salary for a couple to live on in Aarhus?

Hi Mario. I hope you can also make a video about buying a car, used, brand new, whatever. Thank you. 🙂

I work as a senior scientist for a big pharmaceutical company in the UK. I get 27200 DKK after tax per month despite having a PhD and years of postdoc. I earn less than the garbage collector in Denmark.

Hey Mario, this channel is amazing! Soo many great information! Qq: I got an offer for 74k DKK per month (pension on top). Is this enough for a family of 3 to live a stress free (financially) life? I’m a senior IT manager and will work for a medium company.
