Hi Mario, I have enjoyed your videos, thanks for clarifying many things. I have a question around the Aktiesparekonto. You stated they tax that at 17% per year on unnrealised gains. I was imagining say during retirement when you want to follow the 4% rule, would you need to pay that 17% again when you sell stocks for withdrawal? Also woudl you then have to pay income tax on that? I would appreciate clarification on thoise points. Many thanks!
  • Nice video! You can't stress enough the importance of using a Danish broker. True, the fees don't look great compared to more popular brokers, but Danish rules on reporting and taxation of investments are complex enough to make grown adults cry.
  • Hej Mario! Thank you for the nice videos! I have a question for you. Have you investigated the tax regarding UCITS ETFs in Denmark? That would be a good topic I believe...

Hi Mario, thanks for the very informative video. I have a question about Aktiesparekonto, is the 17% tax on the unrealized gains also payed automatically to SKAT in nordnet/saxobank? Thanks a lot!
  • Hi @Mario, would you please do a video on how tax treats investment losses?
  • @ricoonet
Thanks @mario Which index funds have you picked lately? And what % do you allocate to each :)?

I have a question: is the ASK limit purely on funds deposited into it, or does it also take into account the value of existing funds? I know that ASK can grow in value beyond the limit, but what I want to know is if I put in 80k in ASK, buy index funds and ETFs and those grow in value to 100k, let's say, does that mean I can only deposit 3k more? Or can I instead deposit 23k more? And does this limit take dividends into account? These may be silly questions, but I'm new to this, plus my Danish is not quite enough to 100% understand Nordnet's FAQ.

Hello, I have a question. In Denmark, is it true that the maximum tax they can charge me for selling US stocks is 42%? If I don't sell, will they charge me anything for holding my money in US or Chinese stocks? I watched your previous video, but I don't understand English very well, and I didn't grasp that part. And one last question, what would be the maximum tax they can charge me in Norway, and what is the difference? I haven't found information on how much they can tax me in Norway for doing the same as in Denmark. I would appreciate a response. Great video.

Hola Mario! Muchas gracias tu tiempo y me encantan tus vídeos! Me los pongo siempre mientras hago tareas.
  • How about the exit tax, upon leaving Denmark? How are the investments impacted?
  • @aguven
Mario, I dont understand. Do you think it is more logical to buy ETFs into your aktiesparekonto. Because normally they would be taxed higher (different way) but when these ETFs are in your aktiesparekonto for long years they only get taxed yearly (aktiesparekonto tax is lower). Am I missing something?

Ciao Mario Io ho Saxo trader.

Let’s suppose i invest some money here in denmark in stock market with Danish stock trader and after 4-5 years i moved to another eu country for further study for permanent. Can i move my investment portfolio to another country trading account? Or what can i do?
  • @vladd.i
If you are taxed on unrealized gains, what happens if your investments go down in value? Do you get tax credits?
  • @SMuld
I think the Netherlands has worse taxes. There independent from profits one pays a wealth tax.
  • @Kolia_Berezniak
If I am ukrainian who living in Danmark 4 years can I use danish brokers?
  • @lucaarzedi3190
Hello, I have a question. Which country are you planning to move to, or which ones do you think are decent in terms of financial matters, considering that Denmark has high taxes when it comes to selling stocks? Are you going to an EU country?
  • @mah0aga
just to iterate: You must then pay tax on your profit. It is 27% taxation on the first DKK 58,900 and 42% taxation on the rest (per year). the horror! the horror!

Being born shortly after the communist regime fell in Romania I must say, I never lived to experience such anti-success laws as there are here in Denmark. Taxes on unrealized profits on index funds? 5k dkk/month rent control on 2.5mil dkk apartments? The goverment here does everything in their power to keep you from going above average.
  • @easypeasy2241
Can you buy stocks paying dividends through the aktiesparekonto?
