I don’t know why people are shocked that he excelled at country. His whole brand all season has been that he’s a storyteller first, and true country is about storytelling. He nailed it in my eyes.

You know why he’s the winner? This boy can sing country, reggae, pop, r/b, soul, etc and kill it!! I had no doubt in my mind he’s the American Idol
