  • Hello friends. Well. Somehow we survived 2020. Thanks for stickling with me. Staying creative and productive this year was difficult, but im happy to be ending it with this video. I really hope you get something out of it. If you did and want to help out the channel, I have one patreon tier and its one dollar, which genuinely helps a lot. Youtube is a volatile way to make a living, but its my patreons that keeps my income stable, so if you do support it, thank you, your the best! And if you dont- well honestly I still think your pretty rad, but if you feel like kicking in a buck or two you can do so here: www.patreon.com/Supereyepatchwolf Guys, thank you again, the last five years have been a wild ride, and it means a lot that your still here. I am burnt out, so I'm going to take a little time and rest, you should do the same over holidays, we all need it. Love -Eyepatch Wolf

Imagine being a professional wrestling commentator and having to unironically say 'the power of sans from undertale'

"What the internet did to Undertale" Do not cite the deep magic to me, witch. I was there when it was written.

undertale: into the underverse undertale: across the underverse undertale: beyond the underverse

Literally I have heard Megalovania in so many different formats, styles, instruments, in ways you cannot even imagine. As mayo jars, in minecraft, remixed dog barks, full orchestral pieces, it is both staggering, inspiring, and terrifying

My favourite YouTube video genre: someone looks too deeply into a particular topic and loses their mind over 30-40 minutes

Toby Fox asked for a pond and people gave him an ocean, that might sound nice at first but it's a lot easier to drown in an ocean than it is a pond.
  • The fact that Undertale went from a game of befriending instead of killing monsters to a chaotic multiverse of altered versions of the game truly shows how much power a fandom can have.

I love how you got progressively more unhinged as you talked about each Undertale AU. This IP really has limitless possibilities and its a lot of fun to see them all develop
  • @tarvoc746
Other fandoms: "Look at my OC!" Undertale fandom: "Look at my AU!"
  • @Gabowsk
Toby Fox: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Fans creating 962 different Sans: ...none of your concern.
  • It's insane how infectious the sans animations were, I even made one as a kid and I knew NOTHING about Undertale.

One of the things I think that makes this a masterpiece is how hard the sans fight is. It requires so much of you, that by the time you beat him, you don’t feel the sadness you did when you killed undyne and papyrus. It’s a feeling of relief, just like what I’d imagine a serial killer with no real ties to anyone would feel
  • @riga_tony
"How many au sans' are there?" The entire fucking undertale community: "Y E S"
  • @larvasupershow
“A hero needs to win every time, a villain only needs to win once.” I was reminded of this quote when you were talking about the battle with Undyne

I love watching a grown man going insane over a fandom that I was into when I was in middle school. The AUs were so common to me, all that variety was so normal
  • @SilverAg_
Toby fox is probably just sitting there like.. “What have I done..? What have I created..?”
  • @grfrjiglstan
Toby Fox: "Hey, I wanna make a game with funny skeletons." 5 years later

As someone who’s been a part of the Undertale Fandom ever since 2016, I can see how absolutely INSANE it would look from the outside. I wasn’t on Tumblr at the time, but I was on YouTube. I was there to witness the emerging of Undertale literally everywhere online. While I was still picking apart the original game, AUs were being pumped out like clockwork. Fangames, fanart, animations, webseries, lets plays, fan songs, anything you can think of. I distinctly remember watching those sans fight animations, especially the “Beautiful Day” and “Stronger Than You” ones. v0idless, SpectroliteAAA, TC-96, CrayonQueen(loverofpiggies), and Jael Peñaloza literally RAISED me. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I was today. Yes, the Undertale fandom can be insane, but it means so much to all of us. Thank you for the video!
