1 + 1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
Sift and mix
1 cup of buttermilk*
2 teaspoons vanilla extract*
(Microwave * for 45 seconds)
1 egg into the warm buttermilk
Whisk
4 tablespoons melted butter
Stir it in
Pour in wet ingredients into dry
Mix until combined gently
Ready to cook -
I’m not consistent about watching this channel. I save it for when I am stressed. It ALWAYS makes my day better.

I have tried countless of pancake recipes. This is the first one that actually tasted good and the pancakes come out melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. Loved it!!!!

Being a retired chef, and after so many years of precision and aesthetic presentations, now I'm all about just simple and delicious.
I love the way you made this pancakes which is pretty much exactly way I make mine. When I want them but don't have buttermilk at hand I add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the wet ingredients. The zest goes in it, too. And of course, if there's no real maple syrup, I won't bother.

I’ve followed so many pancake recipes, I’ve used this one 3 times now and it’s empty plates all round! By far the best and easiest, most reliable recipe I’ve tried 👍🏽

I made this recipe this morning and it turned out great! Easy to make! I only used 1 TBSP of sugar since I eat my pancakes with syrup but the sugar really does give it that extra flavor. I have tried another recipe on here however the person never said to use warm/room temperature ingredients. Having the milk and butter warm really makes a big difference! I’m glad you share all of the tips and tricks and doesn’t hold anything back. Thanks

I absolutely love John. His recipes are easy to understand, no complicated ingredients or instructions. Just good every day food. I love that you can hear his kids in the background! Also, he has such a great voice. I could listen to him all day!

I made these a couple days ago! They were SO GOOD! Fluffy, like little cakes. I didn't have butter milk so I used 3/4 cup sourcream and 1/4 water, worked perfect!

Hi. I am NOT a cook! I made pancakes yesterday using this recipe and WOW! I was that guy who would buy the ready to cook mix that came in a box, BUT I have to say that I will never buy a box of pancake mix ever again! I loved the simplicity of the recipe and this video was KEY! TY! I made a second batch and added fried bacon to the batter and my son LOVED it! Thank you again! [2/19/2024]

These are the best pancakes i've ever had! They were so delicious with good maple syrup and strawberries. My 2 yr. old grandson ate 7 mini's. Thank you for this recipe, will always make pancakes this way from now on.

I made some of these yesterday and they were fantastic! Some with blueberries and blueberry syrup (which I also made) and some plain with regular syrup. I have been cooking challenged for most of my life, but this recipe with your instructions was easy and yummm! Never buying pancake mix from the store again.
