Granny's Traditional Blackberry Cobbler - 100 Year Old Recipe - Extra Yummy! - The Hillbilly Kitchen

Granny's Traditional Blackberry Cobbler - 100 Year Old Recipe - Extra Yummy! - The Hillbilly Kitchen Black berry cobbler is a family tradition that spans generations.

Blackberry Cobbler is a delicious, healthier choice if you're looking for a fantastic dessert that the whole family is sure to love without feeding them High Fructose Corn Syrup or Mono-sodium Glutamate.

You can pick your blackberries yourself, or you can buy them at the farmer's market or grocery store. Even frozen blackberries taste great in a blackberry cobbler.

From the time I can remember I picked blackberries with my mom, my granny and my aunt Dot. Blackberry cane briars can really be painful! The briars are hooked and they can break off in your skin. We used to go home after picking blackberries and pick the briars out of our skin. Be careful if you've never picked them.

Remember to Put God First!
LUKE 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Ingredients:

4 cups - Blackberries
1 cup - Sugar

I picked some black berry's this morning and I saw your channel. I lost my mother last year on June 18. She was 91 years old. She made the best cobbler. You reminded me of her so much. She was a God fearing woman who prayed every day without exception. I just wanted to thank you for your soft spoken words. Just like my mother. She always said if you have nothing good to say about someone don't say anything.
  • Hi, my name is Richard and I love your recipes. Please keep showing them because you cook exactly the way my mother cooked and way her mother cooked and you make a blackberry cobbler. That was the my very favorite of all the cooking that they did and thank you for showing it to me and have him make it. God bless you.😊

Looks so good. Here’s a funny blackberry picking story. My aunt and uncle were picking berries and my aunt had a pair of bib overalls on that had one of those loops for a hammer. While she was in the bushes somehow she ends up with a snake that got hooked on her hammer loop. She comes running out of the bushes with a snake hanging on her and my uncle, instead of helping her, runs away. Over the years we laughed so many times when hearing this story - I hope you enjoy it.
