If you're wondering why the video ends abruptly it's because there was once again an error in exporting the video. I've spent literally days and hours working on this video and I really tried my best to prevent this from happening but in the end I just gave up and decided to just upload this video even though there is an error at the end. I really hope this doesn't happen again. 3 mins at the end of the video is just gone... I was talking about my favorite kpop groups and songs so I'm sorry if you were looking forward to hearing about that. It's all gone now... :(

Also, I got a new camera so the video and audio quality should be better. I also apologize for the wind noises. That's how it sounds in real life too. It's very windy where I live and I live in a very old apartment so the windows aren't too good and it sounds super loud and annoying whenever there is wind.

I'm 16 and as much as people like to blame young fans for the toxicity due to their lack of comprehension skills, I enjoy it for what it is: just music, I don't really care to watch every vlog and stay up all night to stream music videos. I'll watch the videos when I feel like every once in a while but I don't feel the need to consume every content they put out

Actually I've been a kpop fan for 6 yrs still i am & just recently I'm embarrassed in myself for simping this hard for humans & seeing how creepy it has been 💀...like if they drink water fans edit it in a hot way & people be like "😩i wish to be a water bottle" Like man he/she just drank water wtf💀

Tbh there's alot of blackfishing and racism in the kpop community, and I don't think anyone has talk about it especially kpop beauty standards!!.
  • @taeefann
As a kpop stan, I agree with your points. I think it's important to be aware of what goes on behind the scenes but to still support our faves bc they worked so hard to get to where they are and the least we can do is show them love. Great video as always Zezre!!

It just really upsets me that Kpop isn't about music anymore, a lot of newer groups only focus on the choreos and visuals. I used to like it because of the music, but I guess I really only listen to other music genres in Korean but Kpop, that's the whole reason I don't like BTS anymore, the thing is that it's happening in the whole industry. Why do people keep treating Kpop as something else? IT'S JUST MUSIC, at least that's what it should be... Also the capitalistic pithole it truely is and all of the problems you listed, which are a lot.

Im Korean, I hate Kpop. Koreans don't look like Kpop stars. Don't waste your time with all these Kpop boybands, just chase your dreams and do what you want to do. Kpop developed an unhealthy culture in our Country, unrealistic Beauty standards, Crazy situations etc etc. Trust me you will be disappointed when u come to S.Korea because believe me, if you don't speak Korean, you will suffer there. I love my country but I hate where its going.

To all fangirls/boys. You can always support a group without having to know every detail about their day, watch their lives, videos. Without knowing all their songs and having to buy everything they sell. You can always stan but don't try to fall on the trap of their business. It's all about money. After 7 years, I already have come to my senses. I'd want to stop supporting someone else's dream and start building the dream life of my own.

Honestly it's great that you became aware of all these issues at a young age. I wish I read about parasocial interaction and celebrity worship syndrome sooner to not fall into the kpop hole. I was an ARMY for 4 years, I unstanned in 2020 and I genuinely regret being a fan. I don't regret enjoying the music, I regret spending my time online on people that don't even know me as an individual instead of going outside and living my own life and not relating my identity and life to some dudes. You don't really realize how far it goes and how deep can your obsession get until you read the psychology behind it. If I had read about that sooner and worried about raising my own self esteem I don't think I would have become an ARMY.

There's so much kpop stans coming for you💀 stay safe bby<3 Edit: for people saying nobody is coming for her you probably don't see it but most of them got deleted🙃 there's kpop stans in my comment.
  • I grew out from being a big kpop stan that follows literally every news in kpop, to only listening to the music Seriously all the scandals are so stressful and scares tf out of me
  • @dundun..
ngl im a huge kpop fan, but i just dont interact with the fandom, i dont really read news articles about scandals, etc.i just just stan groups bcs i like their songs and thats it

I was a kpop stan in december 2019 until, I think, October 2020. I stopped being a kpop stan because I felt like I was too attached to it, and it almost became the whole purpose of my life, literally just being obsessive over the music & the groups, so when I felt like it became toxic for me, I decided to leave the fandoms. Now I still listen to some songs, and I’m still an army from then until now, but I’m not gonna stan any other groups other than BTS because I truly think I have no time for that (I don’t even watch all of bts’s content😭). I don’t think anyone will actually read this comment- Edit 2: sorry if my English isn’t so good, not my native language🥲
  • @0remy0
I'm a girl group stan and still love them But i really have to agree with every single word you said
  • @gabizozo
the fact that kpop stans defend their favs from racism, colorisml, cultural appropriation because apparently they "didn't know what they were doing 🥺", like no babes they're 20 to 30 years old, there's information around them that they could just research, stop embarrassing yourself
  • Honestly every industry is problematic. We live in a capitalistic society. From the food we eat, clothes we wear, the movies we watch, the entertainment industry in general etc. It's more of a society problem. Everything we consume isn't black or white. Life's like that too. It’s not like the world is a pure fairytale as well. One thing i really admire about kpop is the effort in production. The music is so diverse, the mvs and set design are stunning, the fashion, the performances, the album designs. There is so much to admire. The people who work behind the scenes and the idols who perform on stage work so hard to make the art and music that makes me happy thus it really shouldn't prevent me from liking it and supporting their work. Ofcourse being obsessive about your idols is unhealthy. But i can still love them from the work they do and admire and support them from there. Yes I'm aware about the problems and will draw a line when i need to. If i stopped enjoying things just because of its problematic side, then I can never enjoy anything. So really just have fun with kpop
  • @disaster4550
i will never understnd why people keep insisting that mysogyny is somehow a part of "dark side of kpop"...that is our society's problem, not a certain fandom thing. and overall saying a bad thing is happening and that's somehow because its kpop and not because its korea, a very conservative country? not like most countries in the world are like that rn?? people really point out an actual problem in our society and say "that's why i don't like kpop" like kpop created them..
  • Since I got into kpop in late 2018 I've begun to realize that kpop isn't really about the music. The kpop industry is like a pie and music is one piece of the pie. When you first get into it you think they are selling the music, but with they way they are promoted(comebacks variety shows, photoshoots, etc.) It is obvious that the idols are selling themselves. It's also why plastic surgery is so prevalent in kpop too. Many celebrities undergo that because looking a certain way plays into the role of perfection and selling that particular image that can help them become successful(because even if you're not that talented at least you have your looks which can take you far). Im not criticizing the genre, I'm just stating the facts. Kpop is moreso about image then anything else.
  • @deb0815
You know there's something wrong with kpop when 99% of the conversations happening around kpop aren't even about the music. It's always who is the best dancer, which idol dates who, voting, streaming, scandals, and of course "my favourite group is better than your favourite group and it gives me a weird ego boost so im going to keep saying it".
  • @10aariz55
I'm a kpop stan but really dislike how some fans can get really obsessive and possessive over their favs :/ Like yeah I get it, they're really attractive, super charming, make great music and are fun to watch but that doesn't mean that you make them their life!! Moreover, these fans absolutely CANNOT handle the idea of their faves being wrong or problematic. And of course since we're on the topic of possessive and obsessive, we gotta talk abt seasseng fans, the ones that breach idols' privacy, harass them, stalk them and even go as far as committing crimes to get them to notice their existence. One of the major putt offs in kpop for me are these "fans". btw, great vid, you made great points and i totally agree w you :) I actually subbed to you for your other content but was surprised to see that you talking abt kpop haha. All of your vids are really fun to watch, keep up the good work!!
