Are we just gonna ignore the fact that she predicted the ratio of the K, C, J final lineup?

The funny thing is, that I still somehow managed to get incredibly attached to like… four Chinese trainees, of which two were evil edited. And yes, it’s mostly my inner gay speaking (the Chinese girls are incredibly hot u can’t fight me on that), but it’s also just their stage presence. So yeah, my dream end team consists of 4 chinese trainees, two japanese trainees and three korean trainees. Also… I noticed that the japanese girls barely got screen time too. I was like “why do i only have the semblance of an attachment to two of them” and realized that I barely know any of them.
  • mnet honestly didnt even have to edit the show because the knetz were just going to end up voting all korean for the final lineup in the last episode anyway. this was (again) an attempt of making the chinese and japanese girls look less talented, kind, and worthy than korean girls, just like they did in produce 101 with ariyoshi risa, produce 48 with literally every single akb48 contestant in produce 48, and even uehara jun with produce x101. they didn't shine so much of a spotlight on the japanese trainees during gp999 because the japanese contestants reputation was already tanked with this reinforced stereotype. I also kinda noticed a similar trend in produce 101 japan with the first season, where there were three korean trainees who were constantly praised and uplifted because of this aforementioned stereotype that korean trainees are already perfect and molded to be an idol while japanese trainees care more about showing the audience they're having fun. this exact stereotype seeped into JAPAN, which is a country with negative stigmas surrounding koreans because of the rough j/k history. this is damaging mostly towards the japanese trainees, but it also sets a weird standard for korean trainees in the eyes of international/non-korean fans because they have higher expectations for korean trainees, they think of korean trainees as "products" rather than humans because of how they are depicted in these survival shows.

It's the way that their diversity is being targeted for no reason other than that their nationality has gotten a certain type of reputation in the kpop industry, and to please fans they have to keep it up by editing them to make them seem evil?? This is why I cannot with shows like these I always end up getting attached to the girls who get their reputations tarnished
  • I'm so disappointed that only 1 chinese trainee got in the debut group, the c group was literally carrying the whole show

You really don't know how much I went baro Naya for 3 weeks straight, then cried when doah got eliminated
  • @az._.1217
Honestly, I equally hate and like the show, I don't even know why. But I agree with your points and I really got mad and upset when I started to notice these points while watching the show.
  • @krijijabeaan
They really did Caibing, Ruiqi, and Yaning (and the majority of Chinese trainee) *bad*. The moment mnet team saw them rising ang taking over the ranking, they need to do the job that they're good at— evil editing.
  • When bahiyyih never got complimented by judges and not having enough screentime like others but she won and most viewed , watch , noicy fans from the others mnet is very trash show , the people there are just somethinh like haha
  • @stantwice4798
i feel bad for c group they always get evil edit and mnet only use fu yaning for clout it's unfair
  • @Estor_
Zezre you and your friends are just too funny 😂😂
  • @christellet3922
the diss fu yanning said was scripted she even said it herself that it was scripted , they are friends now, actually very good friends , im sad she didnt debut into ke1per
  • @sahanaaa1814
most of my favs were actually the chinese contestants!! su ruiqi, wen zhe and fu yaning deserved to debut too even cai bing
  • Lesson Learned: Dont trust survival shows when it comes to Mnet (And other future rigged survival shows)
  • @jazzbeat7585
thanks for the video... you analysis is 100% accurate. i am big chinese idols fan, i stop watching the show after what mnet did to "cai bing"....it was very painful to watch mnet destroying chinese idol image.
  • @4N0TH3R1D10T
The show rlly did the Chinese trainees SO dirty
  • 이런 문제들이 있기 때문에 나는 한국의 엠넷을 더이상 믿지 않습니다. 그들의 편파적 편집은 악명 높아요.

I'm 18 years old. I'm turning 19, so I hope you're brave enough to do this type of content awareness for teenagers or kids out there. So they realise this is how the media shows drama in their industry, whether it's in the form of a news, movie or a TV show. Don't simply believe it and overreact to certain news or TV shows. Don't become anxious. There are so many things you have to worry about, but not this type of news. I have to say this because I'm not the only one who has fallen into that trap. Someone who is way older than me still falls into it. Plus, you just read the news as a 3rd person POV in someone's life, which may already be manipulated from the 1st POV, which is the artist or person. Maybe a second POV, which is the reporter, because this is their job so that people consume their content. This is not only in Korea but all countries around the world because the media holds the power to manipulate, brainwash and sell propaganda.
