I appreciate that Lex does podcasts on politics as well but the science ones I click immediately without a second thought, especially when it's about space
  • @cornho1io62
This man was clearly built to be a thinker. Even at an age where he should be long retired, he still has so much passion for exploring these ideas. Its contagious and made this a great listen!

Lex Fridman. This man stole my heart. I’m a 29 year old mom who is cleaning my home and I can’t find anything else in the world I would rather listen to. This seems like the most important questions in life. Everything that came out of this man’s mouth is all I think about on repeat in my brain. I don’t comment usually in videos. Especially his excitement for ai makes me think that it’s one day going to come up and slap us in the face with the advancements of technology once ai is helping us. The part especially about making a simulation to predict certain clues for the actual theory of everything really made me wonder if were in one right now. The theory that gets everyone spooked.

  • Lex, you did not say in the introduction to your talk that in our country Martin Rees is the current Astronomer Royal, which is a very prestigious and notable post in the United Kingdom, which goes back for centuries, to 1675 when Charles ll founded the Royal Observatory at Greenwich! He has been a hero of mine for a very long time. Well done for getting him on your podcast!
  • @VabellaBeauty

Martin Rees is an amazing man with beautiful, free insights into the nature of what we call "reality"... insights with the discipline of a scientist while not abandoning the delighted and focused curiosity of a child. Wonderful interview, Lex!
  • @jimbeam4736
I admire him, his articles are superbly written and he is one of those rare scientists that not only are brilliant in one narrow field but have a vast and interdisciplinary understanding of nature and humans and are able to communicate on a level that is accessible to normal people. Great podcast!
  • @burjalmadre
