This video has completely changed my form. I just came back from a run and my legs would usually be screaming for help, but just by listening what she had to say and implementing it into my run just made it so effortless. Hands down one of the most enjoyable runs I've had and I can say with 100% certainty that what she says is worthwhile.

She sounds like a great coach with a lot of valuable information! I come from a family of Olympians and there are a few short bullet-pointers to keep in mind: 1. Run loose. Most of us tend to tighten our upper-body (chest) as we run which you do not want to do! Stretch, and "shake" around to help loosen yourself up both mentally and physically. 2. Kick when you run. Watch Olympians do this. They will have a long stride, bending their legs at the knee almost "punching" their butt with their heels. 3. Breathe. Exercise your lungs, let your bottom jaw hang loose, and allow yourself to take in oxygen. Sounds funny but a lot of folks have a tendency to clench their jaw and restrict otherwise normal or healthy breathing

Nick. Watching you put in work every single day, man... I’m telling you, this is infectious and running has become something I want to get better at.
  • As someone trying to go into spec ops this entire journey has helped me with running correctly, swimming correctly, and my body building split. I thank you!

What I am amazed is how Nick adapts to learning new things even though he's been fit for a long time, during the military and before this. Hooah! Greetings from the Philippine Army, Sir!

This is by far the best series on YouTube! Inspirational. Love how you don’t just try to better yourself but also everyone around you!

Ironically today is run day for me! Keep up the great work nick. I’m planning on running a half a marathon eventually 💕

From my experience Ive been an athlete playing football my entire life up to the professional ranks and about 2 years ago I picked up running and really enjoy it. I’ve tried multiple techniques to run even consulting mg buddies who are avid runners and they told me to find a technique that’s comfortable on my body. But more importantly work on my breathing. After finally learning how to properly breathe through belly and not my chest I’ve been able to run a marathon at 265 pounds.

I went 8 years without running (still did cardio, just not running), using “I get shin splints” as an excuse. Watching you made me get back into it and start learning more about proper form and training programs to increase mileage. Thanks for the videos. Love your channel
  • @sgh729
Anyone else here for pre-long-run motivation? Got 8miles on the schedule today in prep for a half
  • @meathead919
This was one of the best episodes in the series. Very very useful tips here, the running coach Vallery is absolutely amazing.
  • @Kentonsmith23
Yooo Nick, that running form that she was demonstrating in your video WORKS!! I went out for a 20k recovery run, & I used the pull technique she demonstrated, & I ended up mistakenly running a PR on a recovery day. & the best part is that It felt so light and easy. From running a 8:30 min mile 20k pace to a 7:23 min mile 20k pace with just one tweak!!! Thanks a lot for the motivation Nick 💯💪
