Life absolutely exists throughout the Universe. ...again and again. The problem is, the distance involved between planets harboring life. I would love nothing more than for humans to be contacted by another civilization in my lifetime.

When you really think of the distance between planets, and between galaxies, it’s likely we would never see another life force, but the vastness of the Universe I highly doubt we’re alone. It’s just too large and too many of chances beyond our own.

Finally an optimistic documentary on this particular topic which is in line with my own way of thinking. Most other documentaries about this either take the middle ground or more commonly, a pessimistic view. Believe! 👽

Thank you, Spark, for the educational and enlightening videos you generously peppered Youtube with, a blessing and a marvel really. I've been avoiding news videos due to the depressing and hope-sapping omnipresence there of a narcissistic former leader who never stops fomenting discord, evil machinations, and dastardly ways to destroy our democratic norms. Watching Spark's astronomy videos somehow makes me feel hopeful, and I realized that the evil and despair prevailing in our political system that the heartless cult leader has been sowing for years should be seen in light of our universe's billions of years, its infinite magnitude, and the speck-like presence there of our beautiful Earth. All the angst and gnawing fears for our country's future become a little more bearable after viewing each Spark video.

I absolutely love this documentary. It is beautifully made, visually stunning and made me really think about the world we live in.

The more I think about the universe the more convinced I am that there is an underlying intelligence at work it all can,t be a fluke or random chance that the cosmos exists I think the universe demands intelligent life beings who can look up from whatever planet they inhabit and gaze in awe at the majesty of the vastness above them

I participated in a meditation retreat called “Awakening Wisdom” at Bodhi Meditation in Richmond BC. It’s a standing meditation practice with guidance and movement. The instructions are in Chinese and translated to English. On the second day of the retreat, I could not hear the translation, all I heard was static noise. I turned the receiver off and proceeded to continue the practice observing the movements of the participant in front of me. I saw two flashes in midair in the hall to my left. One went over my head and the other landed on an empty meditation cushion one row to my right and one row behind me. There was an opaque column of light about six feet high. A participant came a few minutes late to the retreat and went and stood on that cushion and both were sharing the same space. I was observing them for a few minutes and went back to my practice. I can see an intensive white flash that was occurring. I stopped and turned back to see what was making the flash. When she was moving slowly or still the opaque column was visible. When she made a faster movement the column of light disappeared and became visible again when she was still or made slow movements. That was the flashing. Th appearing of the column of light. On another day a German lady, Alexandra and I saw this whatever it was. She was repeating my name and pointing at the cushion between the two of us.

what makes these experts even think that alien species would even use radio waves? because this is all WE know?

The question of life is, I think, pretty easy to answer. It happened HERE. Right throughout the entire universe, even including our own little earth, give one example of something found in nature where there is only ever ONE example of it, that simply is not the norm for the universe. We humans seem to be stuck somewhat in this mode of thinking whereby we think that there are no other versions of life on planets out there, that mode of thinking is so bad, that we seriously were not even sure if other suns had planets like our solar system does, or that other planets might not even have water, when it turned out that the one right next to us did, and had it in great abundance until it's core dynamo cooled off and dropped it's magnetic field.

Xcellent doc but I think they put on the wrong title? This is about finding life not aliens

Say they did find true evidence of life being on mars in the past, then that really raises the question of are we even from here? Could definitely change everything we think we know about our presence here.

The distances between stars and planets are too great to achieve seeing anything in man's lifetime.
