In this video I explain the different entries on the Iceberg chart about the Universe.

Yes, i will admit that a lot of the last entries are more about Quantum Mechanics than the universe / space.

Here is a list of the topics I will get into. You can skip around if you don’t want to see the whole video:

I like how this video is subtly timeless. "You're probably on earth," "you're probably experiencing gravity", like it was secretly planned to be viewed by humans on other worlds some time in the future, or in deep space far from earth. I like it.

Learning science is so fun when you don’t have an exam on it the next day.
  • @nocantry
The fact that particles behave differently when observed is so cool to me. It also makes the "feeling of being watched" a more interesting phenomenon.

Ah yes, Quantum Immortality, also known as "Dude trust me Russian roulette is perfectly safe"
  • @gobblesnot
Quantum immortality really says: "you're immortal until you're dead. But since you can't observe death, it's not a legitimate state to the observer, therefore, as long as you can perceive something, you're immortal; until you're not, which you'll never experience
  • The very last theory is one I've thought up so many times, it's really fascinating to actually hear it intellectually explained.

28:05 "I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it." Mark Twain Also: Insane video editing. Very good.

Ah, the extra dose of existential dread at 2am, just what I needed.

“The planet you are most likely on” Love the way you don’t assume our planetary status 👍

Quantum immortality reminds of this thought I’ve had as far back as I can remember. Ever since the thought of energy being basically infinite in one form or another carrying on through various ways and whatnot…if it really is, then there’s no end, to anything maybe. That always takes me to another thought, that for the universe to exist at all, it couldn’t have neither a beginning or end, maybe like energy if it is infinite in one form or another, because if it had a beginning, it could and likely would have an end and if there’s an end, why would it or how could it exist at all. Time right? Has to have something to do with time, what time really is, if it exists at all or if we can even eventually reach a level of understanding it and everything else we’d need to be able to learn and understand those big questions/answers like the ones posed that generate all these theories, thoughts and discussions…the unknown. The horrifying prospect of never being able to understand the world before our time ends in it…because of whatever time is…or maybe not, we’ll all find out one day regardless, when each of ours runs out. That’s exciting in a way, either it ends, or something else occurs. Seems like the odds of something else occurring, in the case of these thoughts and ideas, the possibility is great than there being…nothing. If you read this ramble, thanks for reading it, I’ve always wanted to get that out into words, if they make any sense lol.
  • dude the music makes it so much better. It really amplifies hearing "particle" 27 times a minute <3
  • @cyqry
I like how the concept of Quantum immortality is pretty much "I'm unkillable until proven otherwise".
  • I love how an iceburg of the universe takes less time to explain than an iceburg of undertale
  • @Chloedasher
Definitely one of the best videos to easily and fastly explain topics of complexity
  • @DawudSandstorm2
This is probably one of the best videos on youtube. I don't think I've found anyone who explains aspects of the Universe in such and understandable and engaging manner.
  • this is so much better than a boring slide show of images and a guy talking on the background, which is what most iceberg videos are
  • @b4UDeanoidInnit
now this is a video deserving of being blessed by the algorithm
  • @TheMotyl
Awesome video! I made it til the end and could listen to you for another hour! Love it! Keep it going.
  • Rarely stumble over a video that instantly grabs my attention and continues to do so until the end. Very well done. More input? ;)
