If I didn't know it was Liszt's and just listened to it I would think it was Chopin's piece. It is pretty similar to Nocturne op. 27 nr. 2(in the beginning). It is really beautiful. I finally found a new piece to learn

It's nice to have the manuscript read while he is playing.

This causes a feeling of deep longing for something. It is the most beautiful piece I have ever heard honestly. I was never a huge classical fan, but this.

This piece makes me forgive Liszt for setting the precedent of memorized recitals...

Posting it a third time to clarify : Yes, the melody isn't played at the same time as the accompaniment, this is normal, the left hand is actually playing triplets while the right plays 8th. So this isn't an error or a modification by the artist, just Liszt writing his sheets weirdly (triplets aren't shown but deducted)

Liszt, the greatest pianist to ever touch this realm
  • His technique was marvelous, as always. Even though he took some liberties with the piece, it was still marvelous.

The subtly in this piece is like no other, it is as delicate as a broken soul.

Liszt's Consolation is the most poignant and beautiful piece ever composed for the piano. It evokes the nuances of romantic love in ways no other artist-- even the poet who gave us the Song of Songs-- has ever expressed.

this is the piece that proves liszt has a heart

A couple of days ago I have seen and heard the most beautiful Consolation nr 3 ever play. I am grateful to witness something such extraordinary thing in my life. It just took my breath away and I felt in heaven.
  • なんて美しい響き‼️リストのなかでは、このコンソレーション三番とため息が美しさの双璧のような気がします。素晴らしい演奏に涙がとまりませんでした。ありがとうございます🎵

Crazy, but Fallout 4 brought me here ... So proud to now know this sound, but also ashamed not knowing it before !
  • I closed my eyes and listened to this, and found it to be so beautiful right up until the very end, where I came to the startling realization that it’s actually Horowitz playing, and not Liszt.
