Hi friends, happy Thursday!

Welcome to the Dark History podcast. Today, we are going to talk about the Waco Massacre, a standoff between the U.S. Government, a religious group and their cult-like leader, David Koresh. Buckle up, there’s no story quite like this one.

I appreciate you for coming by, and tune in next week for more dark history.

You can find Dark History podcast on Apple, Spotify, wherever you listen to your podcasts, and every Thursday here on my Youtube for the visual side of things.

  • Anyone else totally digging the elegant evening robes Bailey has been wearing? Feels like bedtime stories in the Addams family house and I love it 🖤
  • @ANILEATE
Bailey, please do the dark history of how the US acquired Hawaii as a state! The Native Hawaiians need to be represented and heard. We were also called savages, were clothed, forced to stop practicing our culture which was also our religion, and had our lands stolen from us. Our queen was imprisoned in her own palace!

I’ve lived in Waco alllll my life and there’s some creepy myths circling around here. The fact I work at a museum that still has unmarked bodies beneath is eerie
  • @faemae7012
She said she’s a nobody. But she definitely isn’t. I love Bailey and she definitely got me through hard times and taught me much❤️✌🏻
  • @amalb4240
Bailey: How are you? Me: Not fine. Bailey: That's great
  • @jordonw8480
You should totally make a “Dark History” book with all your stories put in there fairytale style. For the public to buy. That’d be so awesome.
  • The fact that Bailey called out the media for being the lying beotches they are, makes me love her more!! 🥰👍🏼
  • Well I do think the fact he had a 12 year old wife is an area of interest even if he did nothing else wrong. We’re skimming over the fact he liked minors. Someone should have investigated that and made that a priority. But other than that very interesting points and I enjoyed learning more about this infamous event
  • @CC-watches
Bailey:”Who handles child abuse? I forget.” DCF: “So do we.”
  • @vhs3760
"there's a lot of children in the community and they need to be protected!" he's talkin abt his wives
  • I remember hearing that the feds could have picked him quietly in town ...but that defeated the purpose which was to stage a high profile raid .
  • @shoeshopper90
Just watched the Netflix WACO documentary and I have to say I RAN back to Bailey to fill in the holes and refresh my memory. Recommend the dark history version over the Netflix one
  • @AngelicRamen
I can't feel bad for a man who was marrying children. That's abuse. They cannot consent. Obviously this was still an avoidable tragedy, however, he was still a monster. Something had to be done. I just wish it had been something COMPETENT that had been done.
  • @nouchee17
You should do a dark history episode on Lake Lanier .
  • @lisaspeck6937
My favorite thing about you is that you're not scared to talk about anything!!!!! 💯💯💯💯
  • @beautyinchaos33
I see that this came out a year ago, but I just had to comment on how breathtakingly gorgeous..... That background is! I just love the set, I love the way the stories are told, the storyteller (also gorgeous) and I do believe I have found a new fave!!
  • @TerriDionne
I think it’s funny that Bailey says that this is for the people who always thought history was boring in school. Because history was always one of my favorite subjects it’s always been interesting to me to understand why things are the way they are. 😂
  • Bailey: "So, I'm drinking alcohol." Me, pouring my seventh glass of wine: "Ayeee, yes we are!" 🤣🤣 Happy Birthday!!!🤞🏻💙
