Hey, as you've been asking, we will be doing the best sounding MKII version. The unit will be fully analog with BBD ensemble. Only the master generator and divide down technology will be digital like in the original. This Mark 4 version is going to our Vintage Synth Museum ;)

Adam is very likeable. You can see how much he enjoys his job and how much he likes this synthesizer.

To me this breakdown of antique synths is so so generous of Behringer. I couldn’t afford them when i was young but now Behringer not only breakdown the original and store it in a museum but also allow me to buy a modern reproduction. So thank you Behringer for changing my world.

The Behringer's cs80 clone should be named as "Replicant".

Behringer is legit doing LAPS around every other synth company at the moment. Roland has turned into a faceless company that churns out things people didn't ask for, which they stop supporting after the initial press push. People saw a Solina in the background of the Behringer TFF video and commented on it a bunch, so Behringer's response was to release this video letting us know where they are with it. Class-A company making good products. Hellyea.

Man they should release the ensemble effect as a stand alone pedal. Imagine having that on any synth. I'd buy two

Never thought in a million years Behringer gear would be my financial ruin. I'm all in on everything, guys, just take my money!

4:00 is the exact chord and sound from the middle section of Pink Floyds Dogs. Perfectly nailed that sound!

It's a very nostalgic sound. Also, Phaser is comfortable. I admired SOLINA, and 50 years ago I made strings similar to SOLINA using 3 BBD elements (1024 stages), an operational amplifier, a 49-key keyboard, and 10 printed circuit boards. I had a hard time with the 3-phase chorus part of BBD. I phase-modulated it with two types of LFOs (about 0.2Hz and 5-7Hz), but the BBD produced a huge noise, so I needed a noise gate. Since I made it myself, I was able to create phase circuits in 120° increments, and there were no patents involved. After that, I connected KORG's Digital Chorus SDD-3300 to KORG's PolySix to obtain a 3-phase chorus tone. Currently, I'm using Arturia's Solina V2 software synthesizer on Cubase 13.

I still prefer the sound of my Crumar Performer over the Solina, but when you click chorus-this really comes to life. You folks are doing great work. I’ve been enjoying two of your synths so far and will certainly buy more!

I used to own the original in the 80s covered all the wood with black fur it looked great

I recently finished restoring an early Solina for a customer. It had several dead keys and some of the voices didn't sound right. Total power supply rebuild, dozens of tropical fish caps and some ICs were changed. Was quite a bit of work but it sounded great when it was done.
  • @BlackMytilus
This is a great synth! It should still be available!
  • @3str
The coolest product presentation I've seen in a while. Job well done Adam!

I found a mkII in the garbage (yes, really!) many years ago. It was a very limited palette of sounds but to this day, I think it is the single most beautiful sounding analog synth sound I have heard. I'm REALLY looking forward to hearing what Behringer has up its sleeve here -- and with the UB-Xa!
  • @exactspace
I love this sound. I recognize it, and always wondered where it came from.
  • @HMS1Blake
Lovely. The outro was like a play out for a long lost episode of Blake’s 7 that actually had a happy ending.
  • @jaggass
The Ensemble effect made it the synth it is today.
