This guy knows how to make demos fun and informative. Dear Reverb, whatever you’re paying this guy, it ain’t enough.
  • Yes. Richard Wright was a genious! May he rest in piece. Congratulations for that synth sound. It was very close! It almost made me cry.

I had the tremendous honor of working with Bernie Worrell on a film score back in the 90's. We worked together for 3 weeks. I must have asked him 24,000 questions. I even had to score grass for him, because that is the way the master works!

Came here for Pink Floyd.. Not disappointed. Richard Wright imo is the greatest keyboardist in music of our time. He could write and compose like no one else, and could ENGINEER sounds like most have never done. The Leslie on the grand piano in echoes.. all of our beloved organ sounds.. the synths all over wish you were here.. the live recreation of the studio synths and keys, on the run (even though I think Roger came up with it), the division bell, and of course the endless river.. Unf. We miss you Rick.

I had the opportunity to speak to Bernie Worrell once and he said he did three tracks of bass for Flashlight. Track two was track one doubled an octave lower. He did fills on the third track
  • “The Minimoog kind of became my M16 rifle. That’s the synth that, to this day, you could blindfold me and say ‘All right, we want a white-noise puffball with one sine wave wiggling at about 90bpm through the middle of it,’ and I could sit there and dial it in. I learned it that well." (Mark Mothersbaugh, 2010)
  • “We’re gonna turn the range down to 32. It’s at 16 already...so BLAH DOW.” - William Kirk, synth regulator (1:16)

It's so good to see some lesser-known Devo songs get some love. Love it.
  • @RikiHyde
It's about time there was another synth video. Keep em coming (forever).
  • @temporalcomet
Excellent work on a difficult Devo part! I bet they did that live in the studio, the crazy geniuses! We (a band, Temporal Comet) Love Devo, Numan et al! Bravo! 💥
  • This dude is so cool he could air condition a room by standing in it
  • @BrandonAaskov
"That sounds like an Impala comin' down the block!" This guy really punches up this video, I love it.
  • William Kurk is captivating. He's such an engaging teacher. Peace captain.
