Its Webasto heater season! I'm getting ready for cold weather camping and just finishing another renovation on my Isuzu Elf camper. I'm hoping with the 4WD and Webasto this thing will be the perfect winter weather camper. I've read in Japan the Elf was designed for ski vacations. It originally came stock with a propane heater but that thing was toast and also massively in the way.

I do not know the correct name for anything

There are plenty of other Webasto install videos on YouTube but mostly newer Sprinter type vans so its good to have a variety of different vehicles to reference to see what would be the best way for you to do your install. I forgot to film a few steps - putting the rubber gasket on the bottom of the heater and bolting it to the metal plate and maybe a few other things.

Once you have everything you need and a good plan it really isn't too bad of a jobby.

Super Job on this project. I'm thinking about getting the same heater. Please keep putting these videos out. I know you are helping many people.

Another great video. I have been looking at the differences between the webasto heaters and the Chinese knock-offs.

Just fitting mine and hoped I'd find some wiring clues. My Elf had a gas heater with thermostat on a side panel, have traced three of the four wires to reuse but .....one to figure out. Like you I cut a rectangular hole rather than the often described hole saw, I bent up some sheet metal and totally capped the edge of the hole so the base plate rides on the sheet metal but sealant does away with any gap. Cheers from NZ. (want to swap for a couple of months?)

How warm does that 2000 keep your camper? Im looking to put one in my truck camper ruffly the same size as your rig. What is the nipple coming out of the Fule tank called? I have a tank already and just need the outlet nipple.
