In Episode 90 of Truck House Life, I review the Webasto Diesel Heater ( the Airtop 2000 STC model). I'll tell you what I think about the heater after truly putting the heater to the test in Alaska in below zero F temperatures. If you're interested in a Webasto, Espar, or Chinese diesel heater for your van, camper, motorhome, RV, boat or tiny home, make sure to watch this review! Enjoy!

  • so glad you do these reviews, it helps the rest of us so much. Man one of the reasons I want to escape to Alaska is to get away from bugs and all I hear is about how big the dang mosquitos are up there LOL
  • Dude the music you put in on the begining of your vids is so awesome, love the legends of the fall I guess you could call it classic folk blue grass. Great touch brotha, makes dudes like me living in the middle of the desert love your Alaska living that much more. Keep it going

That was a kick ass review on the heater I have been waiting for you to make! It’s totally the system that I’m going to go with my slide in camper thank you again for making that video
  • @freemaysin5088
Welp, I'm sold. This is the exact route I'm going then.
  • How come you make a diesel heater review interesting and so clear!!! Bravo Timmy 👍🏼
  • @MrRLH93
I’m in the process of getting a new heating system for my truck home that I live in full time in Wisconsin and this was the information I needed after last winter’s -30 temperature this will be my next heater Thank you for the great information!
  • @jordansmith4289
I cheaped out and installed the Chinese deisel heater in my Westy and love it, game changer for cold weather camping in Idaho.
  • You delivered better than any white bread sales person Timmy, real smooth, to the point. You just rolled. Thanks! Now you can get away for a nice stretch and not have to worry about your home sweet home 🙂
  • @robertcollin77
Great review. Glad your enjoying the heater. It will last you a long time. I like that your digital thermostat has a schedule. So cool when there running full blast to start up they sound like a jet engine.

Thanks , I’ve been on the fence about getting that heater for my truck here in the Greatland. Excellent review… I’ll be ordering…. And checking out your install vid.
  • Got a new project (Overlander) I'm starting up, so this was a timely one, Timmy! Good stuff, brother.

Wow great informationyou can bet your WEBASTO That’s what I’m putting in my cargo trailer if I ever go to Alaska in the winter.

Thinking of converting a utility trailer into a camper trailer, certainly sounds like a great product!
  • Good Info. I just tore out a Dometic Propane-Guzzling heater and installed the Eberspaecher Airtronic. D2. My 4WPopup Camper is marginally insulated, so I expect to burn more fuel that you. My nephew had his Chinese knock-off fail on him at -37 over near Tok, so I had no problem with spending 6X more for the German original. Thanks!
  • Wow! That's some pretty frickin' speck-TACK-yew-lar battery charge/drain numbers, there, Mister Timmeh. Most impressive, considering there's just one 100W PV panel feeding that system. Awesome stuff. I'm about to install the same Webasto 2Kw diesel heater into a tiny cargo camper corn-version. I too have a couple! of 100W Renogy panels; they're some great panels. In this trailer, though, I have already mounted 3 - 100Ah Odyssey AGM (VRLA) in parallel for 300 Ah storage. I hope to use just half of that at most and on a daily basis when camping with the trailer rig. Your experience (although you're using LiFePO batts) bodes well for my simple setup. Thanks again for your report! and here's wishing you a healthy, prosperous and safe New Year. Safe travels to you as well.

Great detailed review u sold me on it. Most people have at least 300 watts to charge 200 amp hour batt.suprised it keeps up with keeping them charged.
