FUN FACT: The Pac-Man in The Ghostly Adventures is confirmed in-universe to not be Pac-Man himself, but a descendant of him.

I dunno how far you got in Stella Glow but honestly with how insane the plot gets I almost feel like the first half was generic on purpose to completely catch you off guard. It seriously has some wild twists and lore.

Did you know? The Pac-Man & the Ghostly Adventures 3DS game was directed by the same person who directed Mighty No. 9, a lot of the mechanics and concepts in MN9 can be traced back to Pac-Man

did not expect a powerful explanation of hello kitty picnic speedrunning but i was so engaged. powerful game.

Thanks for playing Automaton Lung, there's a PC port now too with a bunch of new features/controls. I'm also doing the same thing with my other two 3ds releases (Harold's Walk / Harold Reborn)

Dillon's Rolling Western is so freaking cool, I wish we could have seen more of that series

Whelp, that "Stella Grow" impression went about as expected. But yeah, anyway, it's technically the spiritual successor to another franchise, "Luminous Arc", which had 3 entries on the DS. And a final 4th entry, "Luminous Arc Infinity" on the PSVita without the original developer, Imageepoch. Only the first two entries ever got overseas releases, the other two obviously being JP exclusive. So "Stella Grow" technically is the proper 4th entry to "Luminous Arc", just under a different name since I'm guessing Imageepoch somehow lost rights to the IP. It all follows nearly the exact same set-up with a world of witches and SRPG gameplay/mechanics. If I remember correctly, it was Imageepoch's final game before closing down due to their CEO, Ryoei Mikage, disappearing. Though things did get better...sort of, but that's a story for another time.

I remember asking my mom to put some money on my 3DS for a game I really wanted. Unfortunately, I forgot about tax, so I got a few cheaper games instead. Among those games was Dillon's rolling western. It's funny how little mistakes like that can lead you down roads that you never would've taken otherwise.

Thank you so SO much for covering Stella Glow and the Denpa Men, those are some of my favorite hidden gems on the 3DS! I will admit Stella Glow is... VERY anime, but if one doesn't mind it, then I think you'll find a really fun SRPG with a really solid story, I really need to find time to play it again sometime soon. Also! Fun fact about the Denpa Men, it went and released two other games, a sequel to the first game, and a prequel to the first, both of them did a good job building on the first game. If you also have save data from the first game, then you can actually play as the same protagonist you had! It was really fun running through the trilogy with the same guy!

I personally love Stella Glow myself, but I will agree, it is VERY anime lol. Not for everyone's taste. If you're looking for another 3DS gem to explore (and since you liked Denpa Men) and haven't played it already, I recommend Miitopia! One of my personal favourites for sure. Then again I just enjoy designing Miis in general.
  • @gizzytdm
AHH OH MY GOODNESS THE DENPA MEN I’M LOSING MY MIND
  • @Mr.Snekofsnex
YES!!!!!!! STELLA GLOW!!!!! Oh God I LOVED that game!!! I wasn't expecting you to cover it!
  • @JGWAM
I smile every time someone remembers the Denpa Men. Thank you
  • @IcyXzavien
I remember seeing a video on Automaton Lung and was intrigued. It's had been on my mind, but I couldn't remember the name of it for so long until I stumbled upon the game on steam.

Swagadillo is what the Sonic RPG should have been like. It's like a 3D Sonic Battle, and those rolling angles are TIGHT!
  • @smolcrybaby
    OMG I wanted you to cover Stella Glow so bad! But wasn't sure if you would ; o ;
  • @Manectrix2000
The Dillon Trilogy has got to be one of my favorites, especially on 3DS. I even proudly own the only way the third game was released physically in English via a PAL cartridge. Hope you can play more! I personally think the second game is the best out of the three in terms of balancing its difficulty.
  • @Scorbunzx
Dillon needs to come back on the Nintendo (name in progress) as a beatem up or something like that. Sonic frontiers but you can drift and slash enemies with your claws.
