this guys commitment to his fans is insane. each nintendo costs thousands and he’s unboxing them in minutes for us.
  • I love that he crawled around on the carpet in sweatpants with each TV. Just like we did years ago as kids haha

Can confirm as someone who lived through it that seeing a n64 running mario for the first time was absolutely mental. It felt like you were playing a cartoon. That whole generation of gaming was mind-blowing because technology was making huge leaps constantly.

My mom used to work in a nursing home and when i was little waiting for her to get off id play with the elderly people on the wii for a while. Was really weird seeing people way older me enjoy video games but it also made me realize the power of gaming and the bonding with complete strangers it could bring.
  • I’m not a Nintendo console owner currently, but our GameCube broke when I was younger and my dad called Nintendo support when it was several years out of warranty. They replaced it free of charge, they basically ensured I’d continue being a gamer growing up, and it’s just amazing to think that a company was that willing to help its customers out. I’ll honestly never forget that. Thought I’d share a cool little story from my childhood.
  • I gotta say that the Wii Era was the best time for Nintendo, we all had fun with it didn't we?
  • The reason why the N64 had such a weird controller and a trigger on the middle handle was because they wanted you to be able to choose between using a D-pad, (By holding it normally), or using the Analog Stick, (By holding the middle and right handle). Hope this helps you understand the weird N64 controller design.

That 23 minute video felt like 5 minutes, Arun really knows how to keep the audience engaged by making everything super interesting. I don’t think I have ever been more engrossed in any other content creator's video this much.
  • We all knew his Shirt was a rick-roll all along, but still scanned it😂 Probs for the amazing videos tho. Another example of how great of a storyteller you are!
  • My kids loves the SNES but I fell in love with my N64. Hours of Zelda had my wife actually singing all the tunes and Mario 64 had both of us actually playing together to collect the stars. ✨ unfortunately my wife isn’t able now to play anymore but a big thank you for the memories and joy it gave us

Super Mario Bros. Wasn’t the first Mario Game, There were two arcade games that came before it, In 1983, where was Mario Bros. that introduced Luigi, and in 1981, there was Donkey Kong, which was an instant hit
  • We were a little poor when I was growing up, but I can still remember the day my mom picked me up from school and said she went to a garage sale and had a surprise in the backseat. Then we were sitting at a red light and my mom begrudgingly said to herself, "I can't believe I got a Nintendo", and I immediately started spazzing out with excitement... it was amazing! Lol
  • The little touch of playing the consoles on TV's from that era is what sets this channel apart. Stellar work.

The GameCube was also designed with CRTs in mind. Not necessarily a 4:3 CRT, and a lot of games had 16:9 modes (Sunshine did not), but primarily so. An LCD TV was not what the vast majority of people were playing 6th gen games on. They just didn't have them yet (and 480p games would have looked worse on them anyway).
  • I would like to mention that you weren’t entirely holding the N64 controller right for Mario 64: it’s a lot more comfortable if you put your left hand on the middle prong. That gives you direct access to the Z trigger and the joystick without stretching your hand, and the D Pad isn’t used at all in Mario 64 anyway.
  • The Wii U to Switch evolution is so satisfying somehow. They went from the least to the most successful console while having the same basic idea and similar processing power. Despite the failure of the Wii U they stuck with the idea and it was a massive hit the second time around! Very inspiring.

How old is this dude to be so impressed by that TV? Must have been born in like 05 or something. The NES TV is also more fuzzy than it should be.
